So I've been playing Shogun:Total War 2 lately and I've thought: 'Hey, why not try to make something interesting like this in esim' . And then I've remembered the difference I noticed in the last congress elections – there were candidates from more than top5 parties!
'Let's combine these two and see what we can do'

Japan as a country for Samurai-Role Players

Yes, this idea has been coming around for some time now.But now with all parties (not only top5) ability to run in elections and party president ability to set 'membership' and 'councilship', as well as 'prestige points' that appeared it's almost perfect to set out for our great RP! Something to make our country a real fun in the dying world of primera.

Party ==> Clan
Party Leader==> Daimyo/ Head of the clan

Apart from the congress/president elections we could get some more events as well (probably to be held on weekends to boost the numbers of people involved). What I was thinking of are games of traditional Japanese games and some sort of knowledge tests/contests.

There would be three types of points to get :

Political influence (Prestige) : in-game prestige points from political actions,

Cultural Influence: awarded from participation in events and writing articles/ media mogul medals

Battle Influence: probably some formula of Super soldier,Battle Hero,Resistance War and Tournament medals + possibly strenght (details still need to be worked on)

Every clan could buy RP things (like castles, etc.) for their points …

...people playing this RP would also start to use honorary titles (-san, -sama , -dono , -taisho , Shogun)

We could arrange RP marriages as well!

It would be fun! So I wonder how many of you guys would like to go for it? And if you like the idea, what would you want to add/specify ?

Japanese translation works

So yeah translation stopped at 22,2% …
as a main translator I feel somewhat responsible so I'll clarify what went wrong from my point of view:

1) We lack translators and that's super obvious
2) It was quite tiring for me to translate about 100 strings every day. I wanted to polish/level up my knowledge of Japanese language by doing so, but since there was almost no feedback and the probability of adding bad translation increased I tried to perfect everything before sending (translated strings per day went down to about 10)
3) There were a lot of translations done before that I tried to stay coherent with.
4) There were a lot of translations badly done but already approved
5) Had RL tests and no time for anything else (Sleeping 2h/day > esim)

Now I have some time and even more time starting this October, however other problems are not solved.

1)At least one other translator is a must, and I mean the kind that writes new strings into system, not the one that just vote up/down it, otherwise it's too risky + it will become frustrating in no time.
2) I need to upgrade my language skills a lot
3) 4)The best solution would be to start second translation project for Japanese language from the scratch. Or do someone have idea how to fix already added strings. And no, I can't just communicate with admins for it = too poor social skills + really frustrating that working alone on everything.
5)Problem solved.

But seeing all the problems I started wondering : does esim really need that Japanese version. It's not a game worth playing in the first place...

And that leaves us with even more urgent problem:
What is there to be done to make esim (especially our eJapan on primera) more fun.

Will it be the Role Playing? Or maybe meeting people from all around the World? Reading intersting articles?

The choice is up to you and you alone. Doing nothing will result in slow and painful, yet silent death of what is left of our small community.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
