So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life.

This same old petty spat, again.

It's always disappointing to me, how quickly and eagerly people to shift gears from trying to create the best society for all towards watching Maury.

Lars Thunderfist invited Ronald Reagan here, not out of confidence in Reagan's ability as a Leader, but out of confidence in Reagan's total commitment to ripping apart any society he cannot be the sole authority of. Reagan has added nothing of value. He has proposed no ideas on how to harness this nations great wealth or better engage with his (apparently) mass of dead silent supporters; only opaquely alluded that he does actually have ideas and he'll tell us what they are after we give him all the money and power.

I am supposed to believe that the ends justify the means.

I am supposed to believe that these 150 new citizens showing up and Molly Emma being President and Liquid_HOMICIDE returning are all great things and portents of a prosperous nation; that all this yelling is but the strain of a man again finding his feet.

Maybe, to someone, this is all worth it.

Maybe it's worth it, to someone, to create a worst society for it's clean, easy definitions and teams to play for, rather than to create a better society in which a person must define themselves, for themselves.

Personally, I think you've all lost your dignity.

I would have been happy to simply let this pass gently in its sleep or wait for someone to breath genuine new life in, But, instead, we breathed in the old life into a paper cut-out of an enemy figure for us to all boo and hiss at; propped up by a mass of supporters who have nothing to say and no changes they'd like to make. We started fighting each other, because one of the 'elite', whom Ronald Reagan is so critical of, invited him here expressly for the purpose to get everyone to fight each other.

All that really amounts to is just another design of how to hold power without having to do anything.

Yet, all these people have done a lot of work to create all these things everyone's fighting over.

This all smells so much of the politics we know in real life; I guess that must be the appeal, the familiar is comforting. Everyone more interested in whose team they're on that what that team wants to do. Everyone too hung up on their disagreements to figure out what they even actually disagree about. Everyone more caught up in how to use the rules as a weapon against others than how to use the rules to do better.

I'm not really sure where I'm going with any of this. Nowhere, I guess; civility and consideration seeming not to be what all the cool kids are doing.

I guess I just want you all to know that you all wanted this and that you're all instrumental in everything being the way it is. Reagan is 'President-in-Exile' because that is what he wants. There were literally a hundred decisions he could have made along the way that would have avoided this stand off, but he didn't because he doesn't have ideas. In-fighting *is* the idea. The old guard won't work with him, because they need an enemy, not another friend. And you all just need a tawdry little dime-store novel to cluck about with your girlfriends after your PTA meetings.

When you closed your eyes to dream, this is the world you made.

You argue characters and the internal logic of the dream, but it's all irrelevant.

Everything you see is what is reflected in your heart.

All that said....

I don't care much to watch you rip yourself apart for entertainment value, though, so someone please let me know when something important happens.

Love,

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
