Greetings, America and Youth of America, specifically.
I write to you now, because it has come to my attention that your Party President, one Ronald Reagan, has been banned from the forums for his use of proxies and his response has been to urge your party to cease use of the forums to conduct Congressional business.
Many of you were not here, when the decision was originally made to host our Congressional, Executive and General Discussion areas on eUSAForums.com, so I will go into a bit of history. Originally, in the very early days of this nation, they used another set of private forums. However, as the game caught on and our population grew, much of this was because people on eUSAForums got wind of eSim and a great many of us came over, myself included.
It was specifically for this reason that the decision was made to move our forums over to the eUSAForums, as hosting our activities there allowed us to catch the attention of the many, many people in their existing user base and gain yet more citizens. As you are probably aware, this kind of game has a very specific appeal and so access to a player-base of people who already play a similar game is quite helpful.
I do not think it wise to alter this course based on the problems associated with one person. Literally, no one else in the history of eSim USA has had trouble with the forum Administrators and one of them, LordRahl2, has even been a President.
I am sorry Ronald Reagan has been banned from the forum, but the forums do not allow proxies because they allow IP banned users to continue using the forums. It rarely comes up, but I think most of you are familiar with the internet and understand how persistent a person bent on being disruptive can be.
This does not mean Ronald Reagan has done anything wrong and I am not accusing him of anything, but it is his choice to value the privacy of his IP so highly and the decision he has made is that he values that privacy above participating in Congressional discourse. It does not seem to me that everyone else should change to suit him.
That said, I will say that I do have suspicions about Ronald Reagan's character.
America has always been a very tight knit community and has always acted in the best interests of everyone; putting aside their parties and military units and any other artificial divisions and recognizing each other as brothers on the same team. Reagan does not seem content with this and seems to find problems with anything that is not directly under his control.
I have never known a Party President to dictate the votes of those in his party; asking people to vote for people they are not familiar with ahead of people that we know and trust. I have not known a Party President to mass message the members of other parties, in order to gain members.
Ronald Reagan will tell you that he is doing all these things to help, but I cannot help but wonder why he can't help people that aren't in his party and cannot help people that do not vote as he asks them to and I cannot help but wonder how any of these things really helps anyone.
To my mind, this is the behavior of a person who seeks power for the sake of power and not for the sake increasing anyone's prosperity. The United States is a very wealthy nation and is happy to help any active citizen and yet I do not see Ronald Reagan directing YoA to tap the wealth of the nation. The only ways he has seemed to be interested in helping are ways which he can directly take credit for.
And that's unfortunate, because there is more than enough to go around.
But, at the end of the day, I do not worry.
The harmony we know is stronger than anyone and anything and I trust each and every one of you, implicitly, to make intelligent decisions about your leaders. No one can break the strength we share, Ronald Reagan. Not LordRahl2. Not even me.
I ask Ronald Reagan to stop assailing upon that harmony.
Not because he will break it, but because I know it will break him.
And I believe he is valuable too and want him on the team as much as anyone.
Whatever happens, I'll always be here, even when I am silent.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
