胡续冬：巴西对葡萄牙的态度是有点嘲弄的。美国独立后牛逼了，但面对英国，文化上还是自卑的、仰视的。巴西完全不同。在巴西民间，葡萄牙经常是被当作笑话的。
葡萄牙是非常小的国家，巴西是它最大的殖民地。葡萄牙一开始不重视巴西，把殖民重心放在东方，如印度果阿、马六甲和澳门，一开始只是王室派了十几个大家族去分包巴西，没有建立中央集权。怎么分包呢？就是把已发现的海岸线截成十几段，每家一段，从海岸线开始往里开发，爱怎么开发怎么开发。葡萄牙对巴西的殖民这么草率，法国、荷兰就乘虚而入，里约就是法国人建的。一旦有人抢，葡萄牙才重视起来，在巴西建立了总督府。巴西的蔗糖经济迅速发展起来。十八世纪，东南部米纳斯吉拉斯州发现了藏量巨大的金矿，这么大的一笔财富。巴西即使上交葡萄牙王室一部分，富庶程度依然还是超过宗主国。从那时开始，葡萄牙的地位就变得比较微妙了。
到了1807年，葡萄牙被拿破仑占领，整个王室带着全国文官和贵族上演了人类历史上最奇葩的逃亡，逃到了里约，并定都里约。这个时候巴西叫什么？葡萄牙-巴西-阿尔加维联合王国。从政治身份上，巴西的主体身份跟葡萄牙是平级了。最牛逼的是，王室后来回到葡萄牙，但留了个王室第一顺位继承人佩德罗在那里，后来老国王快去世了，催佩德罗回去，可是王子就是不回去，然后巴西就独立了。巴西一独立就是帝国。虽然后来金矿没了，但橡胶经济、咖啡经济先后发展起来，巴西在自己的宗主国面前仍然有优势。隔壁的阿根廷对西班牙的语言、文学和文化还是崇敬的，而巴西呢？巴西承认自己的部分血脉来自葡萄牙，自己的文化部分来自葡萄牙，仅此而已。他们更愿意追溯文化中黑人、印第安人的渊源，追溯意大利、阿拉伯移民的影响，尽量弱化葡萄牙祖先留下的遗产，反而更强化葡萄牙兼并巴西的历史。
在西班牙语体系里，在西班牙考一个语言证书，哪里都承认的。巴西却在世界语言政治舞台上刻意强调巴西-葡语和葡萄牙-葡语的差异性。葡萄牙有一个语言考试，巴西不承认，逐渐把葡萄牙-葡语等同于外语，还通过各种援助等手段让非洲葡语国家往自己靠，在国际舞台上，一定要称他们是巴西-葡语。

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
