Pierrhus, you're heading ORION. New players like myself aren't even aware of the existence of this organization, that nevdertheless seems to be very influential in France. Can you explain what is ORION?
First, thank you. Currently, France limits herself to a half assed debate, it is important to hand the mic to give voice to everyone to clear up the situation.
It's at the same time normal and weird that new players don't know Orion, the French is so organized : private MU are a secondary force. Private Mus unfortunately lack visibility. To make it short, what is Orion? It's a military unit, that is a military group founded long ago by three players : cc92140 , Syyf and Mace Windu . We grew up, militarily and economically, always in a real athmosphere of solidarity and friendship. We merged with the Barbapapas, a large military unit that included many great and ancient players; and we never stopped to grow together, in companionship and in fights.
But Orion is also an active hard core, gathring players generally old, fully conscious of our history and with a stong ideological conviction! Orion is a totally independant MU that isn't going to put up with it when it's unhappy with something, and is not going to endure when it finds something appealing.
Some say that Orion has an indue political influence in France, especially for a private organization. What do you think, and if indeed Orion is heavily involved in politics, what, according to you, justify this influence?
What would be a "due political influence"? Should we put up with some quota? Sometimes we are a pain for the government so we should be silenced? Let's bring back the guillotine :p
I'm exagerating a bit, but still. As I said, Orion is a core of players with a political conscience. It's normal that our voice be heard loud and clear.
Is Orion generally speaking frustrated with president Lapin's leadership? What are, specifically, your issues with him? What would you say to those who think that it's all about the defence of individual and corporate interests?
In your last article, you gave the floor to Lapin. We can clearly see that he nurtures a hatred against Orion and attempts to spread it. "We're the big bad guys, we harm France with our individualistic, opportunistic, devilish convictions, etc., etc.". I'm not going to elaborate about his defamaroty and innacurate statements. That 2 minutes hate gets old quickly
Now THE question : is Orion planning to overthrow the president, either by PTO or by Civil War?
Neither by PTO (coup) nor by CW (Civil War). Orion is simply in the opposition, but not all of Orion and not only Orion. Orion shouldn't be targeted as if it were evil incarnate. And besides if opposing, exposing one's ideas, and fight for them is evil, then yes, consider us as devilish.
A last question : I'm told that in the past Orion would have fought against France as a result of its issues with the leadership of the president of the time, Istari. Doesn't the existence of this precedent tarnish the positive and appealing image of Orion that you're drawing?
It was another time. Only some members of Orion dared to cross this red line. This gesture was an extreme case of putting into practice our ideological beliefs. A kind of message : we're are ready to make ourselves heard. It must be pointed out that at the time France had joined the G7 without popular consent. Orion merely stayed faithful to its convictions. We don't regret anything.
Sometimes, it's necessary to send strong messages so that they'll be remembered. This one might have been a bit too strong...We still hear about it today and it's bandied around all the time. But it's not an isolated example; people like to reuse those anecdotes/sentences, hammering them again and over again to feed their message. At the moment, for instance, the prefered sentence of Lapin is "Orion doesn't fights for France when france isn't Orion". He repeats it every time he can...While this sentence was used with the intent to shock and provocate. It isn't all represantative of Orion's mindset.
So, it isn't our actions or statements that are tarnishing the image of Orion, it's those who assume a stance against us, who try at any cost to make us appear as the bad guys...
Any other specific comment?
Orion won't ever stop to express itself. In words, but also in action.

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
