Time for some real talk America, on today's agenda we have an expansion upon my feelings on our diplomacy and the issue of activity.
We'll start on the issue of activity, as I do have a few International subscribers and it effects the entire world. Since the creation of Secura we've had a decrease in activity across the board on Primera, and despite popular demand it is not due to all new players joining Secura. Rather the problem here is everyone on this server collectively gave up in a series of chain reactions.
1. Life Expectancy Believe it or not there is a limit to what the average person can do in this game for a long period of time. From myself to some random guy we get bored from time to time and want to enter two click mode. This happens largely as the summer ends and people return to real life, I myself took off about a month to enjoy a kick ass summer followed by a very challenging start to college. Normally this isn't a problem, but we had a secondary issue that made it even worse.
2. Defeatism Secura launched and everybody assumed that Primera would soon be dead and gone. As such many either transferred over to Secura or quit despite the fact Primera is still well off and in my opinion better then Secura. I haven't had the displeasure to experience Secura myself, nor do I plan too, but when listening to the business talks of Secura players I can draw the conclusion that all the introduced gold has made on hell of an inflated market in Secura. It sounds to me as if the economy is hellish and useless and the wars are dynamic and bought, not really my idea of a fun sim to play... it takes the strategy out of the game.
So how do we reverse this trend?
1, Stop your whining This server aint dead yet and no way in hell I'm letting it die. Get over to the IRC, sign up to fight for America, recruit some friends, write inflammatory articles about our President, honestly I don't give a damn what you do as long as you get involved. It's simple as that, stop supporting Secura by quiting Primera, if you wanna play both fine but don't complain about the demise of Primera while you won't even make a committed effort to the community.
Alright Diplomacy Time So who here remembers the grander times of USA diplomacy, before the alliance craze? We had managed to get ourselves a nice little setup without the membership of an alliance for a while. In fact a lot of our alliance memberships have been disastrous for America (with the exception of Sigma though it had numerous complications looks at Sweden). We got CEC originally not through an alliance but rather through our personal relationship with the UK who held the region at the time. We added Portugal to the Sigma fold, not by defeating them militarily, but by protecting the UK and Ireland fiercely at Cork and coming to the table for peace after every battle. The fact that we were in Sigma, and not merely TM, gave Portugal more reason to consider joining our fold, which eventually led to the invasion and wiping of Brazil (our enemies at the time) freeing up Mexican diamonds (our friends at the time).
We found ourselves in a position of opposing Alpha (i.e. 90% of our current allies) due to their aggressive tactics against the few countries who we developed a close relationship (i.e. Ireland, the UK, Spain, Portugal, and yes even Sweden). We stay'd out of the worlds biggest ping-pong conflicts (like Lithuania v Poland and China v Indonesia) and choose instead to devout the entirety of our forces to our main allies. If we had no battles we sent troops to secondary friends, developing our bond and occasionally helping them but not enveloping ourselves in their regional politics. An example of this would be China, we had a good relationship that was beneficial for both sides but we did not involve ourselves so heavily that we made their goals merge with ours. Thus we successfully avoided being sucked into the constant China-Indo war and were not targets of rogue Indonesian forces attempting to get back at us during a crucial campaign.
Some, including current Secretary of State Sermok, have called this obsession with Loyalty and Honor a weakness. I heavily disagree, this is a strength in every sense. We fight where it is just, and not for the needs of one countries vested interests (one of the major reasons for initially avoiding Poland). I shall not comment on the vested interests of our current alliance, that is more of a question for someone constantly on the inside, but the grumbling around indicates the alliance is heavily split on what priorities should be.
We have sacrificed all we valued, and that led to several months of prosperity, by rushing into AGC. We took sides in conflicts we had previously avoided, some have been successful (Indo is free for instance) and others haven't worked out nearly as well (Lith is occupied partly by Poland and I've been told that they only have regions due to an NAP but cannot independently confirm that). The Ruskies, our former occupiers, are getting erased once again and soon we could see Poland upon the shores of America.
The only person to be a bro in this entire situation is Canada. Canada, the country we essentially resorted to bullying to keep CEC, has treated us with respect and does not actively attempt to regain CEC (although some discontented citizens do fight against us). Hell, in my opinion anyway, Canada has earned CEC for themselves. Never mind the deals we've worked, if we don't recognize those countries that treat us well even when they don't have too then we are failing at diplomacy.
And on a practical side of things, CEC is becoming a giant drain that cannot be held anymore. I'd hate to ruin the sentiment of the last paragraph, because I do believe Canada has more than earned the right to CEC, but there are opponents of my diplomatic beliefs that will need a second reason to ditch CEC ASAP.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
Invest, produce and sell - be an entrepreneur in E-Sim.
Take part in numerous events for the E-Sim community.
