Howdy Murica

Been about two months since I've bothered to put out an article (and that's even counting my short reign as Media God under Khaled). It's interesting actually, when your on the outside (i.e. everyone here) you have so many questions so much to write about but when your on the inside (i.e. Gov) it all kind of disappears.

Well as it was I became a bit bored with eSim and at the same time my RL got kickass as all my friends started having pre-college split up parties.

Not all of which ended this way

College being hella busy I continued my inactivity spiral all the way till, well yesterday. (I got to the point where I was too lazy to request tickets each day so if Canada had CEC I just didn't fight that day). But today I had a bit of a wake up call.

Mark Michaelson, an excellent candidate in my opinion, ran against Pfeiffer. Pfeiffer ran on the campaign of "lolz nobody else is running why not me guys". Mark ran on the campaign of a hella long article I'd love to read but oh dear god its long. So my question is why Amurica?

Pfeiffer's last administration wasn't particularly spectacular. I should know, I was in on it as a pretty terrible SoS. I got unlucky enough to be out of town when America joined AGC, as such I kinda felt it was my duty to play along with the administration and do my job since I'd missed the protest boat.

But here's the thing, like it or not, AGC is inherently toxic for America. We had been offered a position in prior alliances with Poland but opted out, and lets go with the most innocent explanation, due to Polandballs massive influence. We didn't want to be part of an alliance where we had to pander to a single super power or else the rest of the alliance would fail. However by joining AGC we alienated many old friends, including hard won Portugal, and ended up in an alliance that was basically ALPHA 2.0. Because of Lithuania, and to a lesser extent Russia, we have historical precedent for constant conflict with Poland. And because most of the enemies of AGC were backed heavily by Polish influence Polandball became a constant point of conflict. Because of this we became a new kind of servant to Poland, if we could not defeat them we could not win. We had to pull all kinds of diplomatic tricks with our neighbors and allies (remember SK-Indo-Canada) to ensure our own prosperity and not awaken the wrath of Poland while constantly attempting to weaken them to help our allies out. Because of this America put itself in the place of an Anti-Poland, instead of a middle ground, alliance. As more countries lean towards Polish influence this puts America in a bad position of being an easy target, instead of a "protected" but non-aligned country. It would have been MUCH easier to pick our own friends, I was always partial to trying to steal Portugal back, then to deliberately set ourselves up with Poland's historic enemies.

Wasn't the picture I was going to include for my transition but it is ironically funny.

See the thing is during the Pfeiffer administration America was feeling pretty good. We were on an upswing, with several very successful (and even Uncle Sam's short reign wasn't devastatingly bad) administrations leading to the expansion of American power and foreign influence. But we were arrogant, we thought we shifted the tides of war just by our mere presence. Thus the attitude in going into AGC, sure Alpha failed last time but hell now they have AMURICA.

America need's a wake up call. On the first front we have previously active players going two-click mode, quiting, or just being silent. I checked my subs, I had like 9 straight days of just DoD announcements and nothing else from my other subs. Nobody votes any articles anymore, they are generally of low quality I guess, and nobody is really stepping up to take the place of the retiring players. Because of this America is becoming fundamentally weaker, hell the guy who was banned still got 34 votes in the last election, and it is no longer acceptable.

That's why America I've decided to step my game up... I'm re-entering the business of politics, militarism, foreign affairs, and generally sticking my nose where it doesn't belong. We need an America Revolution, a change in pace. More new players, more active players, more forward thinking. And no more voting for Pfeiffer for the lulz, seriously I have no idea where his supporters are coming from.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
