Hey, I am
DannyCrowley and I just want to take the time to say that I am running for Congress (again.)
For those of you that do not know me, I will tell you a little about me and what I plan on doing this coming term. For those of you that do know me, just look at that picture above and do not forget to vote and sub.
Background
I have been playing here for a while now. I have been elected to Congress six terms, and during those terms I was nominated for Speaker of the House twice and became SoH once. I am familiar with how Congress works and what needs to be done to keep the country moving along. I am a pretty outspoken person in Congress; I will argue no matter how long it takes if I feel that something is happening that is not for the benefit of the country. However, I also know that there are some things that, even though citizens may want, that we cannot do (Such as attack Russia when we were not ready to.)
Activity
I am a very active player. I am on-and-off through out the day, checking news, shouts, battles, often. I am on IRC all the time, even though I may not be actively talking, I am always there, watching, logging, and waiting! Since the US Forums is where most of the Congress action takes place, I check in often seeing where discussions may be going or if any new business has come up.
I will admit that this term I, as well as the rest of Congress, were a little quieter than normal, but with summer in full bloom, I expect everyone to have much more time and to get some more arguements going.
Competition
I know there is a lot of competition out there. It seems that everyone has to have a gimmick to get noticed. At first there was those in the pony parties. That seems to have died (much like Goose <-- TOP GUN reference
) off lately...probably because they are too drunk on pony booze, or what ever gets ponies flying...
More recently, however, Vampires have jumped into the political scene. Now, I am all for vampires, but do you really think these guys can run your country?
I mean, really, some of these vampires are sooooo old that they are trying to recycle ideas that failed in that other game and bring it there. The rest glitter. Come on! Vampires do not glitter, they do not sparkle, they do not love, and they do not Congress.
Plans
My plans for Congress are simple:
1.) Get a Speaker of the House nominated for the term.
Pfeiffer is the current SoH and has done a good job, and if nominated, he would still get my vote next term.
2.) Complete the OMS Proposal giving some type of supplies/gold support to all US Military Units. Discussion has started and stalled, but nothing concrete has been made. This needs to get done to strengthen our MUs, build our damage, and get more citizens into the MUs to get bonuses when fighting.
3.) Complete the proposal on making a government Elite MU. Either building the MU from scratch or converting one of the private Elite MUs over under government control, either way, this needs to be done.
4.) Work on plans for increasing the supplies given out to citizens during important battles. Either with Project Cornucopia or through Hell on Wheels. Everyone loves free supplies, especially when using those supplies to fight our enemies.
5.) Proposal on expansion of the Army. Currently the Army is just about full. But just because this MU is full does not mean the Army needs to stop growing. I plan on a proposal of adding a second division to the Army to get even more people working in the communes and fighting with supplies.
You may have noticed, most of my goals are war oriented, well, because this is a war game. No matter what spin someone may put on it, this is a war game and our tax money needs to go to our war machine to defend what we have, and take a little more, if ready.
While these are my main goals to get completed this coming term, I, as well as the rest of Congress, am always accepting ideas or proposals to pitch. Feel free to contact me.

About the game:
USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
