美国媒体的年终报道指，中国大陆2015年发生一系列重大事故，包括上海的新年踩踏事故，天津海港区化学品仓库连环大爆炸，深圳滑坡摧毁33栋楼房等造成重大伤亡的恶性事故，都与中国薄弱的安全监管和腐败丛生的政治体制有关。
美国《纽约时报》中文版12月22日发表题为“2015：中国多难之年”的综述说，中国2015年频频发生重大灾害事故，每一次发生都植根于中国快速的工业化、薄弱的安全监管，以及腐败丛生的政治体制。例如，12月20日星期天，中国深圳的一个工业园发生渣土和建筑垃圾滑坡，33栋建筑被摧毁、数十人被埋废墟的悲惨事件。
综述列举了5起2015年发生在中国的惨重人为灾难：一、1月1日上海新年踩踏事故，导致36人死亡，49人受伤。事后的调查显示，警方未做好应对30万人群涌入的准备。数名官员受到腐败指控被解职，包括区公安局一名局长和区委书记。
二、6月1日湖北省监利县沉船事故，长江“东方之星”游船倾覆，逾440名乘客死亡，仅12人生还。船长张顺文逃生，后来被警方控制。政府调查显示，游船曾有安全违规记录。
在德国的腐败问题专家廖然就此指出，中国大陆今年发生一系列惨重事故，原因是中国多年来积累起来的官员腐败、忽视法律和规章制度所造成的可悲后果：
“2015年的一系列灾难以上海新年前夕的踩踏事件开始、然后以深圳的建筑垃圾滑坡事件结束，的确令人十分感慨。中国之所以会如此频繁地发生这些人为灾难事故，一方面显示了中国政府管理能力极差；另一方面就显示了官员腐败的严重问题。就拿天津化学品仓库爆炸一事来说，企业人员只要认识政府高级官员，就可以获得把危险化学品处置在一个海港城市中心的许可，这当然就是严重腐败问题呀！”
《纽约时报》就中国2015年大事故的综述所例举的第三个事故是，8月12日天津化学品仓库的连环爆炸，导致逾150人死亡、约700人受伤。海港大片区域被夷为平地，而许多伤亡人员是消防人员。事发地点储存了大量极易挥发的化学物质，而且离居民区很近。仓库所属公司的数名高管被捕，中国负责安全监管工作的领导杨栋梁也被反腐机构控制，接受调查。
四，11月20日与12月16日发生在黑龙江省的煤矿火灾爆炸，共导致41人丧命。五是、12月20日深圳市建筑垃圾山丘滑坡，摧毁33栋建筑事故，官方新华社报道，至少有91人失踪。一些居民抱怨官方缺乏监管，让建筑垃圾堆积到了危险的高度；厂房和员工宿舍太不牢固，没法抵御滑坡。
旅美华裔学者谢选俊认为，中国大陆如此频繁地发生各种人为灾难，是因为没有法制和规矩，从中央领导到各级官员为所欲为，不顾后果：
“中国这一百年来一直是一个名不正、言不顺的独裁制度，没有什么规矩、没有法制。中国近来发生的这一系列人祸似乎是在告诉老百姓，就是，中国没有宪政是不行的。这些事故就是向世人揭示，中国没有合理制度的情况，领导人想干什么就干什么，这会造成各种人祸和社会动乱。”
路透社的有关报道说，中国深圳市政府称，12月20号的滑坡事故波及的区域达38万平方米，部分地方泥土掩埋深度达10米。也有中国媒体报道称，塌方面积为10万平方米，相当于10个足球场。目前约3000名救援人员正在展开施救。在事故发生之前两年，就不断有居民向有关部门反映问题， 但是并未能引起当局重视。
报道称，深圳的滑坡事故是继4个月前的天津港区化学品仓库连环爆炸后，中国再次经历严重的工业事故。经历30余年高速发展的中国，其工业生产安全标准依然令人忧心。中国近年发生的最为严重的滑坡事件是2010年甘肃舟曲县因强降雨引发的特大泥石流，整个村庄被掩埋，造成1500多人死亡。

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
