Tomorrow, Britain votes for its next President, choosing between The People's Party's Tulip Farella, who is seen in the centre ground of Politics, and the Centre ground of the Party, and seems to believe in Policies made, not based on ideology and vision, but on public opinion and discussion, or The British Patriotic Party Candidate ArchDukeJohn who is unabashed in his support for Socialist principles, and is on the Centre-Left of both British Politics and his Party. We've had interviews with both Candidates now, and I want to head in to tomorrow's Election, and also tomorrow's showdown between the Candidates in an exciting debate, with a clear idea of what they're fighting for, so that Britain can make a clear and informed choice.

ArchDukeJohn:
The challenger to President Tulip Farella's Centre-ground Politics, he presents a strong Socialist Message, more in line with The People's Party than our own candidate. His Policies announced so far are as follows:
The Economy:
- He would introduce a 15 GBP Minimum wage for all British companies.
- Would engage in a vast programme of resource-trading for Gold and would buy-up scarcer resources to sell on for a profit.
- Would set up some state-owned and nationalised businesses to supply jobs to immigrants, though the exact number of companies, nature of these companies and size of these companies is unclear.
- Would sell of FRF for Gold.
- Opposes income tax below 10%.
- Would donate 50 GBP to every Citizen, excluding himself.
- Has previously voted in favour of printing money.
Foreign Policy:
- Would start negotiating peace with the USA.
Defence and War:
- Would not conquer the US or Ireland.
- Would hold public referendums to decide whether Britain should go to war in the future.
Social Policy and Home Affairs:
- Would work to bring in and keep new and returning players.
- Would personally send messages of welcome to all new and returning players.
- Would try to construct a good guide for new players.
- Would send new players gifts and food.
- Would bring in immigrants (existing players) from other countries by offering them gifts, food and a well paid and stable job in state owned industry.
What hasn't he been clear on?:
- His position on a Luxury Items tax.
- His position on MPPs.
- Welfare Policy.
- The Future of Social Policy without MoHA.
- How he feels about the current tax system.

Tulip Farella
The former TPP leader and current President since July, she presents a message of wider discussion, debate and Centre-ground policies. She opposes radical economic change and is a strong believer in the use of warfare. Her known positions are as follows:
The Economy:
- Adjusting taxes periodically and when required.
- Believe economics is just setting taxes and monitoring supply and demand.
- Believes a minimum wage is not practical but claims not to oppose it.
- Would not introduce any radical reform.
- Opposes a Luxury Items tax.
- Opposes nationalised companies except in exceptional circumstances.
Foreign Policy:
- Wants more MPPs with unaffiliated nations.
- Would not negotiate peace with the USA and Ireland.
Defence and War:
- Would not conquer the USA and Ireland.
Social Policy and Home Affairs:
- Would replace the Ministry of Home Affairs with a Social Policy and Home Affairs spokesperson.
- Would look to hold more National Events, such as National Conversation Day.
What hasn't she been clear on?:
- Whether she would consider the use of referendums in the future.
- Welfare Policy.
- How she feels about the current tax system.
- Position on immigration.
- How she would attract more players.
- International Trade.
- The sale of foreign currency.
- Her position of printing money.

This is a chart of where I believe the 2 Candidates stand compared to where I believe the 5 main Parties - The People's Party (TPP), Rise of UK (RoUK), Bobjob's Party Time (BJPT), United Front (UF) and British Patriotic Party (BPP) - stand on the Left-Right, Libertarian-Authoritarian scale, to help visualise the stances of the two candidates in contrast to the 5 main Parties.

As you can see from this fascinating chart, the two Candidates seem to sit in very different positions to the traditional positions of their parties. Tulip is somewhat to the right and up from TPP, showing a certain level of detachment from the Party since I took over as leader, with Tulip opposing a minimum wage and my tax proposals, and my opposing wars in the US and Ireland that Tulip is leading, as well as other policy differences. Whilst at the same time, ArchDukeJohn stands slightly to the left and quite far down from his own Party, perhaps showing his attempts to move his Party's traditional position through his Presidential Bid, rather than through direct leadership.

Tomorrow will be the election's highlights of the vote itself and the Debate where I will press the candidates on issues not yet covered and try to clear up confusion. Tune in for that either live on IRC or here in TPPV, straight after!

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
