Against all odds the Part I stayed up until the end. Perhaps Railman IS changing. We all know however that it's not over until it's over. Let's keep our fingers crossed for the 2nd part as well. Enjoy!
Btw, since it managed to stay up the interview with Pursche officially became my 50th! Cheers!
7. Speaking of Suna, do you follow that server? Do you think Railman made a success out of it in these past weeks? 7. No I do not, Suna and Secura has never interested me. I expect a lot of hate for saying this but there's something I really don't like about those servers, Secura managed to be the stepping stone to turn E-sim into a Pay to win game with it's Buy Gold (which Railman promised to never bring to Primera) and I think making Suna all African countries was a mistake, I play this game to at least have a slight feeling of patriotism or atleast feel like I have somewhere I belong. I simply couldn't get those feelings on a server where the population of a country was very diverse and half the shout was in Polish. Since this reset allowed players to keep gold, companies etc I decided to skip out on the restart.
I can't say for sure if the reset was a success or not, when I first heard about the Suna reset my first thought was that this was the end of Primera once and for all. Why would anyone new register on this server where they see that they are 1000+ days late to playing from the start when they might aswell play for the same country on Suna? The only reason I saw that someone registered on Primera over Secura when Secura was released was that Primera did not have buy gold. The only reason I saw that new players registered on Primera over Suna when it was new was that they would rather play for their country than for an African country. Now I seriously do not see any reason for anyone to register on Primera instead of Secura/Suna as a new player.
8. What are your ambitions now for playing Primera? 8. I would like to sit back in Norway and be inactive for a while, see what comes out of this article. If things actually change I can see myself becoming active again and maybe even running for President in Sweden for another month. But if it continues down this path I'll most likely 2-click and keep in contact with the friends I've made while waiting for a worthy successor of this wonderful webgame.
9. Would you recommend people to join the staff team? Can someone somewhere make a change in this game in your own opinion? 9. Hmm what a coincidence. I actually got contacted by someone who was on their way to join the Staff team for a second opinion less than a week ago. I told him about my experiences and what I felt about being a staffmember those three weeks and concluded with saying that I did not feel like it was worth it to sacrifice actually playing this game so you can moderate it. I have no idea what came out of that conversation though but I really hope he thought things through before deciding. Yes I do see someone make a change in this game and I believe it to be kMeel. If kMeel could stay active (he's apparently inactive for 8 days right now, he might be on vacation though so I do not blame him), informative, honest and all of this while being able to somehow influence Railman I do believe there could be changes around here. I think kMeel could do great stuff around here if he got free reign. At least kMeel has shown tendencies to listen to the players this last year which is more than you can say about others...
10. In the light of what's happened and happening, have you thought about quitting the game? 10. Yes, plenty of times. The only thing keeping me here is the friends (and enemies) I've made during my time playing E-sim.
11. Thank you for the interview Pursche, the answers were very productive. Let's hope that people will be allowed to read them this time. 11. No problems at all, thank you for interviewing me! I do have a bad feeling that this article will be removed like always though.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
