Well, that was a pretty close one!

My thanks to Kaige, your commitment to democratic choice is sincerely appreciated.

That said, it's time to get down to business and the #1 thing on my list is this!

Clickable Link! So fancy!

My top priority is to get a sense of where America is at and what needs we can serve immediately. Filling out the Census is the best way to sort that out and help me and my team figure out where you need to be and what else we should be doing to help you. There's also a nice section at the end for you to complain as much as you want and I promise to read it.

Everyone, regardless if you feel like you're on the radar or not and if you feel like your voice matters or not (it does), should fill this out. If you're really in a hurry, it won't take more than 5 minutes and I swear I'm not going to be spamming this kind of stuff. It's a one time thing, but we need to get organized from the top down and this is just the best way to do it.

For example, there are people without Military Units and people who aren't in communes and those are both big problems we can fix and we can fix fast. Now, maybe some of you don't like the idea of working in a commune and I can understand that. But what we need to understand is that Portugal has a 40% tax on wages. Every day we work on the market, 2/5ths of your pay is going pay Portugal's war expenses.

For this reason, I'm working with Congress to open a National Commune structure. Any US citizen will be entitled to work in our communes and will receive 10 Q5 Food and 50 Q1 Weapons for each day they work. This gets you more than you could get purchasing off the market and denies Portugal tax income and, at the same time, means they're cannibalizing their own work-force.

Now, if you really, really, really just hate the idea of communes, I'm not going to get upset about it but if that's the case, do yourself and your fellow American a favor and work elsewhere!

Now, lets talk about the war with Portugal, I know that's a burning question on everyone's minds.

My sense is, this is going to be a war of attrition and we're going to need to be in it for the long haul. We have an enormous financial reserve and we can afford to put the hurt on Portugal every single day and make every single victory excruciating. Even now, with a battle raging in Yucatan and France and the Philippines pouring on support, we and our friends in Hero's of Mexico are threatening to cut them off. This shows that, even if they can win, it will be the death of them to do it and we haven't even scratched the surface of the potential I know we have.

I'll be getting an article out soon explaining to our newer players how to get onto IRC and fight in tandem with their brothers and sisters and get Gifts, Weapons and Tickets from the Government to fight with, how it works and what's expected of fighters that receive supplies.

Now, many of you already know IRC and how the strike room works and maybe have abandoned it for any number of reasons. Well, I want to tell you now that I am rededicating our efforts. Strikes will be run regularly in the evening and supplies may be available through the day, as well. I know it can be frustrating when you're ready to fight and no one's a round to help you but, understand, this is a big job and it pays literally nothing.

We all got stuff to do and we all sorta forgot to be doing this stuff and stopped caring and it was okay for a while, but that time's over. So, I'm telling you that we're turning it back up to 11 and, if you come back, we'll be waiting.

Now, before I go, I should probably announce my administration staff. I haven't worried about it too much, to be honest. I'm less concerned with titles than I am making sure the work is getting done.

My VP is Dr Rush - I've been working with him closely since I returned from abroad, helping him get a grasp on how to be an effective CP and working with him on GFI. A VP is basically a second set of hands for the CP and I've no doubt he can handle that.

My DoD team will be Char Aznable and Ishamael Naeblis - I have worked with Mittens for quite a long time and he has been the backbone of the DoD since this began. Ishamael, better known as WildOwl on that other game, has lengthy credentials there and, I think, on Secura in Pakistan as well? I'm not sure, I just remember that he's a cool guy, is trustworthy, qualified and has the time. I'd settle for two of the four.

Secretary of the Treasury is Lars Thunderfist , obviously, because I'd like to see you dislodge a dragon from his loot hoard. Along with Shylock , because I just like using my position to troll everyone at least a little.

My Secretary of the Interior is a newer face around here, Rashid Jones . He's got a lot of energy and I have high hopes for him. I imagine he's found it pretty frustrating, so far. He thinks big and, eventually he'll be familiar enough with how things function realistically that thinking big will pay off. Thinking big does pay off, but only after you fully understand the mechanization within the system. He'll get there and Interior is a good place to start. We're working on a program to get some basic level of supplies available, every day, for anyone and everyone with a need.

Rush and I will be handling State department with Rashid shadowing us. He's real interested in foreign affairs and we're hoping he can lean about some of the people and cultures in the greater world.

Last, but most importantly, Secretary of Kawaii 13thParadox , tasked with keeping morale up with her adorable eccentricities.

That's about it, for today.

There will be more to come. My next articles will get into details of how to get a spot in the National communes and there will be a seperate one addressing the Forums, IRC and how we run supply operations on IRC. I'd like to eventually take the time to re-develop our entire info web but... that's a hell of a project. We'll see.

I'm probably forgetting stuff. I'm really tired and there was just a ton I needed to talk about. If you're new, sorry for going on. I have a habit of doing that. You'll get used to it... or learn to scan-read lol.

Thanks again for voting for me, America.

I hold you in my heart.

Love,

P.S. Big shout out to my brother, Ciia , el presidente vitalicio de México! 62 Million damage in Yucatan and counting!

P.P.S. Extra love to BlackWater, keep sucking Portugal dry!

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
