《中华人民共和国政府和日本国政府联合声明》（日语：日本国政府と中華人民共和国政府の共同声明）简称《中日联合声明》（日语：日中共同声明），又称《中日建交公报》，是1972年9月29日中日邦交正常化时，两国政府签署的一份联合声明。
1960年代后，原来关系密切的中苏交恶，于1969年更爆发中苏边界战争，中国的自身安全受到苏联的严重威胁。中国急需寻找新的国际战略伙伴联手对抗苏联的威胁。另外一方面，毛泽东在文化大革命初期的政治盟友林彪在1971年试图发动九一三事件，最终政变未遂出逃，对毛泽东造成严重的打击。不过中国的国力在20多年间已经有了长足的发展，1971年10月联合国大会2758号决议中华人民共和国取得联合国中之中国代表权后，加拿大等西方国家开始纷纷承认中华人民共和国；1972年2月，美国总统理查德·尼克松更访问中国，联合发表了《上海公报》，一举震惊世界。
而日本在1949年后对中国基本采取“政经分离”的政策，但是随着两国的经济、贸易和文化交往越来越密切，日中复交的呼声越来越大。中国日益强大的国际影响力已经不容许日本忽视，尼克松、基辛格的“越顶外交”说明了当时日本的对华政策的失败。
1972年日本自由民主党总裁选举中，日中关系就是其中一个最重要的议题，田中角荣在竞选时承诺上台后要实现日中邦交正常化，得到其他候选人三木武夫和中曾根康弘的支持，选举结果是田中大比数击败最大的竞争对手，当时属于亲台派的福田赳夫。7月，田中角荣出任日本首相后，表示充分理解中国政府的“复交三原则”（即承认中华人民共和国是中国的唯一合法政府，台湾是中华人民共和国不可分割的一部分以及废除《中日和约》），中国政府也对此做出积极回应。[1]同年9月25日，日本内阁总理大臣田中角荣和外务大臣大平正芳和内阁官房长官二阶堂进访问中国，会见了中共中央主席毛泽东、中国国务院总理周恩来和中国外交部长姬鹏飞等人，商讨了两国建立邦交、发表联合声明及其他事项。虽然期间发生了田中发言时的“添了麻烦”字句造成的误会风波，但是双方最终还是达成了共识。9月29日上午，两国代表在北京人民大会堂东大厅举行《中日联合声明》的签署仪式，日本的田中角荣、大平正芳和中国的周恩来、姬鹏飞在声明上用毛笔签字。
内容
《中日联合声明》主要内容有：强调中日两国的悠久友谊，结束两国的不正常状态（战争状态），日本对“过去战争给中国人民造成的重大损害的责任，表示深刻的反省”等。
条款的八个主要内容是：
中日结束不正常关系；
日本承认中华人民共和国政府是中国唯一合法政府(间接否认中华民国政府)；
中国政府重申：台湾是中华人民共和国领土不可分割的一部分。日本政府充分理解和尊重中国政府的这一立场，并且坚持遵循《波茨坦公告》第八条的立场。
中日邦交建立
中国政府宣布：为了中日两国人民的友好，放弃对日本国的战争赔偿要求；
中日两国在和平共处五项原则的基础上建立持久和平友好关系，用和平手法解决一切争端；
反对霸权主义；
进行以缔结和平友好条约为目的的谈判。
1972年9月29日，在共同签字发表的《中日联合声明》后，日本外相即对该联合声明的内容进行补充说明：作为中华人民共和国政府和日本邦交正常化的结果，宣布由中华民国与日本之间订立的《中日和约》失去存在的意义而宣告终结，而中方同意采用日本外相发表谈话的形式宣告该条约的结束，不坚持把“日台条约”是非法的、无效的、必须废除（复交三原则之一）这一条单独写入联合声明。
影响
《中日联合声明》的签署使两国之间多年来的不正常关系结束，建交之后，两国关系和双方的各方面交流蓬勃发展。中日间建立和平友好关系对亚洲的和平也是重要的进展。而对当时的局势来说，中日建交使苏联的远东进攻型的战略不得不有所放缓，中国和日本的安全保障都有所提升；日本和中国建交，也促使了更多国家承认中国，中国的建交国家数目有了跃进；田中内阁成功促成了日中邦交正常化，也进一步拉动了他在国内的高民望，虽然这种民望在不久之后的石油危机中迅速破灭。
中国政府承诺放弃对日战争赔偿要求，使中日邦交正常化得以顺利完成。因为当时日本政府考虑，如果中国政府提出巨额的战争赔款的话，必然是对日本经济的重大打击，宁愿推迟邦交恢复。不过两国在此问题上仍然有分歧，日本认为中国政府承诺的放弃战争赔偿，包括了政府索赔和民间索赔，但是中国政府坚持这一承诺仅仅是指政府索赔，不影响民间对日本索赔。此一分歧在2007年的中国劳工对西松建设索赔的诉讼案中很明显地表现出来。
而《中日联合声明》不是两国的正式法律性文件，只是两国在政府领导人就双方共识的联合声明。一直到6年后的1978年，两国签订《中日和平友好条约》，《中日联合声明》中的原则才以法律形式确立下来。

Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
