As the title suggest.. I'm back at interviewing people! And for my third episode, my guest will be no other than Orlandio !!

This two-part interview took place in IRC. We talk things as smooth as I can. Well, it offers basically what Orlandio is. I may missed a beat but nevermind it. Sit back and enjoy!

******

1. Commander Kwak Kwak : Hello Orlandio! The most famous redactor, and ofc, the most consistent in bringing PRIMERA eSim some worthy news to read in.

Orlandio : Cheers mate, i'm honored.

2. CKK : I do not know how to start this, or make such a fine interview but let us see. You were once a politician dont you? I want to know on how where you back there? Do you always feel pressured when taking up such huge responsibility or you just take it easy the way you brush your teeth?

Orlandio : Responsibility to run a country? I guess you could call i was "pressured" to do it. Back then Estonia (my home country) had been on the map for less than a month and was in wrecks. We were surrounded by Lithuania, Finland (who wanted to conquer us as soon as the 1 month truce was over) and Sweden (who also wanted to conquer us) and much of the stuff in our orgs was stolen by a cheater. No one else wanted to run the country yet someone had to.

I didn't volunteer into presidency. One day 3 weeks after registering i logged in and saw I was the CP. Our previous CP had been impeached and I was elected by congress to run the country. No one even asked me whether I wanted it or not. I don't think I was extraordinarily "competent" as a CP but looking back it was a really lucky start for me. It helped me make acquaintances with some very smart people in the game. Acquaintances that still last. It helped me to understand the game - I could see the game from a different perspective, not just as a small player. That is something I later grafted into my newspaper. That's why I often not write on my personal level but on a level of a bigger community. Being a CP taught me that things won't happen and community won't develop unless we do and develop ourselves.

3. CKK : So we are safe to assume that you became the CP by chance or what? Cos that politician side is what we won't see you this days as you transform yourself into something who want to meet nice and awesome people like you. Digging deeper there. Presidency wasn't something you want but something that let into your hand without even asking it? Can you mention somebody that you call 'very smart people' which helps develop you into what you are today?

Orlandio : Sure. lokiju .

However, don't be confused - I wasn't picked as the president completely out of random. Although I was only about a week young in this game I tried to do everything in my power to build up my country. So when the previous CP got impeached, people figured they could rely on me since I had been very active in country affairs and become something of a right-hand man for the previous CP.

The thing is that I always cherished journalism over politics. Just in the first 6 months I couldn't focus on that since i felt obliged to help build my country. Later when the country was stabilized we got some really great guys join the game and I wasn't (fortunately) needed anymore. That's when I really started writing articles.

4. CKK: I smell I need much longer conversation about this one topic. Anyways, aside from being a politician back when your account was young, your newspaper is the most active one, and I want to ask if you still know when and how did you start hitting global boards on a consistent basis?

Orlandio : I remember this very well because it was a huge milestone for me. It was exactly 1 article before I did my first interview (With Ameshanu, who was CP of Australia back then). By then i had reached global only a couple of times but ever since I've reached global with almost every article. This and reaching my first 100 subs are my greatest e-sim memories. Dead Truth.

5. CKK : Wow! That was sentimental mate. Im pretty sure you barely hold your tears eh? (.. or not) Other than that, just being Orlandio should make yourself proud. But are there things, achievements, or any equivalent of it which makes an Orlandio proud of?

Orlandio : Not really. I guess you can never really appreciate the things you own atm. But also because it's just a game, so ranking in some stats doesn't mean that much to me. What I'm proud of is the people that play this game. I'm proud that interviews have become popular and that there's at least 5 or 6 players now doing them. I'm proud of a whole new generation of e-sim journalists (CKK, Mister D, Isaac Newton...) And I'm proud that boobs are not such a trend in Primera anymore. Whenever Railman and kMeel listen to some of my suggestions I get very proud of the ppl that voted that article to global. That's all.

6. CKK : As I have mentioned earlier, you became the sort of a guy who love to meet ppl who are nice and awesome like you, one who share the same thing as you - that is Journalism. Do you think you found some success on that department?

Orlandio : On meeting awesome ppl? Great success. There's so many ppl of very different ages from so many different countries that are just SO awesome. Some are famous in e-sim but many arent. I'm often global so I get a lot of messages and meet ppl with different ideas and projects for e-sim. There's so many things going on all the time, it's really hard to grasp everything.

That's why I'm able to make so many articles - although these ppl might not give me ideas or inspire me directly, they DO give me the power, motivation and inspiration to come up with new ideas that would be innovative in some way. Community is literally the only thing keeping me in this game. I believe that the only way to develop is if we all share ideas and talk to each other.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
