I love the Philippines, they always have interesting people in power. For example we can take the interviewee of this article - Jaiace . Just a little hint: It's a she! Amount of girls in e-sim is shamefully small, as the 99.9% of the (male) players would probably agree. The reasons are quite un-clear: Is Railman to be blamed? Aren't e-sim boys attractive enough? No re-search has never conducted on this topic.
Well anyways, here is - i believe - the first female person i've ever had the honor to have interviewed in e-sim. In all honesty, i DID get Anqa to agree to give me an interview - sometime in the "distant distant" future... maybe. All hail the first - and hopefully not the last - girl interviewed by this newspaper!
1. Greetings Jaiace , newly elected president of Philippines, also a woman... almost a multitalent! 1. Thank you Orlandio . i don't actually consider myself multitalented.
2. Let's get to the CP-business: What made you decide to candidate and what got you the victory? 2. It's not my first time to run for president here in the primera server. I just decided to see if I could do the same like in the neighboring server. Honestly, I never expected to really win. I wanted gradual change.
3. Tell me some specifics of that "change" you wanted. Also, what did you do differently this time that maybe got you the victory? Or simply put: What caused you to lose before? 3. One change I wanted was the way Philippines fought in battles. The essence of clutch is now lost. I wanted to bring it back.
Perhaps I won this time because there were only two of us eyeing the precidency?
4. Now that you're in office, do you feel you may have an advantage compared to, let's say, male politicians? Is there some of that "womanly wisdom" guiding your decisions? (Gosh, i really hope that didn't sound too masculine. I believe we're all equal, no matter the gender - whether it's male, female, leprechaun, or a character in LoTR) 4. I don't believe that I have an advantage over male politicians. Even in RL, we are aware of that. We are all created equal. I do not decide alone. I make sure to include everyone possible. I was elected to serve the people. What's the use of being a leader if I don't listen to my own people?
Pardon if my answers seem shorter than your questions.
5. Np and let's keep the questions one-sided. How big is your cabinet and who's in it? 5. The people in my cabinet at present consist of people i really trust, who consist of previous congress members as well as my advisers, the members of the Junji Battalion . Despite that, I strongly advise any ePH citizen who has concerns with the government to come and send a message directly to me here in IRC or in game.
My cabinet isn't that big to be honest. just a couple of trustworthy people. I also wanted to migrate some of my cabinet members from the neighboring server to this one but they declined.
6. What's the first days been like? Did you have a notion of what you're gonna do before taking office or are you still comprehending? 6. My first few days in office have been a bit exhausting but I do have a fair idea of what I really have to do. It's not easy seeing that this is a completely different server, with a lot more people, progaganda and issues that don't seem to die. It serves as a challenge for me though.
7. Let's get back to the CP race. Who were you up against when candidating and what were your promises to the people? In short words tell us how you're gonna intend to stick to those promises. 7. I was up against Archelaus . He's a fellow ePH citizen and also a co-member in my MU. I didn't say anything to the people, no flowery words or flattering promises. I simply felt that I had to do what I had to do to make sure that ePH makes its mark in the world of e-sim. I am but a humble citizen trying to make a difference in my country.
8. How is the relationship between Philippines and inner scandals? Is there strong opposition, PTOers, trolls or is the country completely scandal-free? 8. Scandals and intrigues will always be there which cannot be avoided although I myself despise trolling. And for me? Troll if you make sense or be silent instead or do something good for your country instead of bashing each other.
9. We are reaching the end of our short interview. One more serious question though: What do you expect to get on experience-scale from that term as a president of one of the server's biggest and most powerful countries? And for God's sakes tell us WHICH "neighboring" server have you been talking about this whole time and what experiences have you got from there? 9. I expect everything to happen, be it good or bad. Criticisms, praises, arguments...what more can you ask for when you're in office? No matter how hard you try and do your best, there will always be that someone who will say a thing or two about you.
Oh by the way, the server I'm talking about, is the Suna server. I'm also currently the CP of Mali. It's my 5th term.
10. Jaiace , good luck on running one of the most complex countries in e-sim and may you run it as long as you have already run Mali. Also good luck on being a woman! 10. Thanks Orlandio !
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
