Hello Australia. This is an article that has 0% to do with the government, all these views are mine and mine alone. This article is kind of like a debate. If rafe or the EL want to debate I'm happy to jump on skype and we can record a debate. Although I'm not running for President, so it would be a one sided debate.

Warning: Some content may offend readers it is not my intent to offend anyone. However if you're in politics particularity Australian politics you really can't complain, it's a side effect of the job.

The content in this article refers to this article: http://e-sim.org/article.html?id=8758
And data and discussions on IRC or on skype

Part 1: The Article.
Background:
Rafe was one of the first members to join EL and he won a place in congress as well. Before eSim he has been playing Travian and won. In real life he is a Semi- Retired RAN Officer of 35 years. So he has time and you can rely on him ‘cause he will stand being a CP.

Winning a place in congress isn't saying much. I could of voted for myself and got into congress. The fact that rafe got 2 votes is actually more of an achievement. Wining Travian again that's not really saying much. Travian has widely different game mechanics to e-sim. It's like saying I'm in the grand master league in starcraft, doesn't have any real meaning. I thought rafe wasn't an officer? Maybe I misread the conversation between Diablo and rafe. And again it doesn't really have any effect on e-sim, being a bakery owner for example would be better. I know it's only a background on rafe but it doesn't mean anything to me.

EDIT: I did read wrong Rafe is an officer.

Activity:
As everybody surely knows, Rafe wants to activate the congress more. He wants the Australians to be more active on the forums and that the forum should be one of the main parts of the game.

Good luck getting multis (who speak bad English) more active. I will honestly give you all my gold if you can do that.

Economy:
The taxes are one of the most important things for EL and also Rafe. He thinks they are wrong at the moment and that we have to change them. He also wants Hospitals and Defence System being placed out. The Gold has also the wrong value, something he wants to change.

And I want to cure cancer and create world peace. How? I don't care it sounds good. If you're not going to say what you're going to do, don't mention it in the first place. Was there any economy plan in the first place? Or did you just say it to add flavour to the article?

Local population:
Rafe wants the population in Australia to grow. And it’s very easily done. With some help from the current population of course that keeps inviting new players to the game.

Easier said then done. You don't need to be in government to do that anyway. So why not start now, or you know before when you first thought or it?

Part 2: The scary stuff?

First of all what is the Economic Liberals? People who oppose government intervention in the marketplace. So what are they going to do if they get in government? If they want to stay true to their name they are going to have to scrap the past month and a bit of work. Which means the ADF is incredibly screwed over and the governments ability to make any income is dropped almost to 0%. I don't know about you, but that makes me want to vote for them.

Gustav:

Gustav replaced me, Dewy, as the Minister of Finance when I left for Germany--although because of my heavy involvement with everything about the economy, I started getting called the Minister of Economy. Logical thinking would dictate that he would know about the economy to replace me right? Well no not really. As you can see from our first meeting as joint MoF/MoE

Gustav Olsson: ok
Gustav Olsson: I and Mikhail have talked about how to increas Australias money and more workers and we decided to lower oil import tax so that more people can start ticket companies and now we are trying to higher ticket import taxes so that more people will buy from our market.

Dewy: That won't really work
Dewy: most oil is bought directly through contracts

Anyone who knows about the economy would know that decreasing oil import tax won't make anyone start up a ticket company. And a higher ticket tax does nothing but damage our economy. A foreign owner for a ticket company is still going to need to pay import taxes, regardless of where the company is. Thanks Gustav all that does is decrease the amount of ticket product offers we have and increase the price of the ones that we do have.

Gustav: I think that AUS ORG should propose more offers on the job market.
Dewy: The org has no companies in Australia

You would think that the MoF/MoE would know where our government companies are located, right?

I bet some of you will say those quotes are out of context. Well what about government data?

Whether this data is just a coincidence or not that's up to you to decide.

Rafe

Good bloke I like him as a person, but as a president though? Unfortunately Rafe doesn't know enough about the game mechanics to be a CP. Having to explain to rafe what the country treasury is and what the Org is, is a little stupid. Once rafe gets a little more knowledgeable about the working of the game and the government (as a cabinet member maybe), I dare say that Rafe would make a fine CP. His views on the military are a little frighten to be honest. Someone who thinks Australia shouldn't make a deal with Indonesia and instead fight against our occupiers is a little to optimistic and dangerous as CP. We tried that already against Argentina, Indonesia is a lot stronger than Australia and Argentina. The only way we could kick them out is with strong allies to bad the only allies stronger than the ones we have now are Alpha--and they don't want us; in fact that don't want anyone.

Final Note

I'm not running for CP. If Diablo and Mikhail also put a presentation out you can be sure I'll also make a commentary on it. And again I mean no offence or disrespect to Rafe or the Economic Liberals.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
