Hello Everyone o/

Sorry for the week of quiet but with a new Ministry, things take a bit to get running.

Today's article is one of the random "just for fun articles" that I had promised earlier. We will be looking at various bits of interesting news and media from real life Japan.

Before we get to it though, let me announce that the Empress Day voting is set for the 23rd of this month (next Week). Keep in mind though that this date will be a bit flexible in case it appears we need more time for everyone to finish presenting and voting on candidates.

Now lets get to the news!

Anime/Manga related News

Attack on Titan Manga controversy:

Looking at the above image, many of you may assume that it is just your average, nonsensical fantasy writing, but this panel from the Attack on Titan manga is at the center of a rather embarrassing incident for its creator. As it turns out, this panel isn't all gibberish, but is actually Japanese characters written upside down in a difficult to read style. Some fans were able to decipher the text and discovered the that it said the following (once translated into English for us):

"Rock scissors paper, rock scissors paper, rock scissors paper

So, what should I make, what should I make

In my right hand, a w**ner, in my left hand, a pu**y

S*x s*x

Raw barley, raw rice, raw eggs

Talking dirty all day, all right!"

The mangaka later issued a statement revealing that the obscene writing was not done by him though. When drawing Manga, the mangaka is usually helped by a group of assistants. The Managaka takes care of key artwork such as the faces of the main characters, while the assistants are left to take care of background scenery, passersby, and ,you guessed it, unimportant text. Though no disciplinary action has been announced, it is likely that the wayward assistant will not be working on much after this.

Doraemon Comes to the United States

Many of you will be familiar with the lovable, but mischievous cat from the future, Doraemon. One of the most well known and longest running children's anime in japan, it is now set to be aired in the U.S. on the Disney XD Channel. American children will now get to watch the adventures of the the blue cate and his 4th dimensional pocket full of gadgets. Longtime fans be warned though, various changes have been performed on the anime for the American public. This includes small things like changing chopsticks to forks, and larger items like various changes in the plots of some episodes.

Hatsune Miku and lady Gaga

Though this will be old news for Miku fans, Lady Gaga's most recent tour in North America featured a very special opening act, none other than the Digital Diva, Hatsune Miku. This tour continues the trend of Vocaloids (Miku in particular) becoming more and more known amongst the mainstream music scene.

For those of you that do not know what a vocaloid is, they are almost completely virtual singers (Their voices are sampled after real life voice actors though). As if being digital vocalists wasn't enough though, another interesting facet of the vocaloids is that they're software is available for public purchase. That means that any fan with a good ear for music can purchase a Vocaloid's voice library and create their own masterpiece.

Click the image below for one of Hatsune Miku's songs as she performs in a live concert. (The hologram technology that was once used to "bring back" Tupac was actually pioneered and is mostly used for Vocaloid concerts)

Music Corner

This music corner will be dedicated to introducing you to interesting groups and other musicians from Japan. Today, we are pleased to present Babymetal, with their unique fusion of Metal and Idol Music. Definitely a new experience, these young girls have been taking the music world by storm. (Click the Image Below to be taken to their "Megitsune" Music Video)

We'll be back soon with more news and events, Cya o/

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
