Gli andalusi sono infallibili dal dischetto, mentre sui lusitani piombano come un macigno la stanchezza e la paura di perdere ancora una finale, la nona nelle ultime nove giocate (8 europee più una Intercontinentale). Maledizione senza fine per il Benfica, anche nell'anno in cui di più avrebbero voluto vincere per dedicare il successo ad Eusebio, il loro grande campione del passato morto da pochi mesi. La partita, brutta come riescono ad esserlo certe finali, accresce il rimpianto della Juventus che, in una serata normale, anche se l'Europa da anni le è un po' indigesta, avrebbe probabilmente trovato lo straccio di un gol prima del 90'.
Invece, il trofeo se lo sono giocati, con agonismo che è diventato frenesia, Siviglia e Benfica. Tre assenze importanti tra i campioni del Portogallo, gli squalificati Perez, cerniera di centrocampo, Markovic e Salvio. Ma il ruolo di favorito, maledizione Guttman a parte, era ancora suo. Ed il campo ha dimostrato che, sul piano del gioco e della tecnica, le differenze sono a favore delle Aquile di Lisbona. La prima parata degna di questo nome arriva quando è già scoccato il minuto 37: Alberto Moreno, difensore del Siviglia, cerca l'angolino, ma il tiro ad effetto non gli riesce un granchè ed Oblak blocca. Ed era stato il Siviglia il più pericolo: provvidenziale nei primi minuti un doppio salvataggio di Guilherme Siqueira, difensore brasiliano ex Udinese. Qualche segno di risveglio del Benfica alla fine dei primi 45': Beto riscatta un errore precedente: prima blocca Maxi Pereira, imbeccato da Gaitan, poi respinge un destro di Rodrigo.
All'ultima azione i portoghesi reclamano un rigore per un presunto fallo di Fazio in scivolata sull'argentino Gaitan. Il Benfica sembra volere dare una svolta, ma procede a folate, come d'altronde il Siviglia. Nell'ultima parte del secondo tempo, il Benfica sembra davvero vicino alla fine della sua maledizione.
Ma Lima, l'uomo che in pratica aveva condannato la Juventus col il gol del 2-1 alo stadio Da Luz, questa sera non trova mai il guizzo vincente. E quando il colpo sembra riuscirgli, ci pensa Beto, che alza in angolo. Poi tira alto Garay e fino al '92 la pressione dei lusitani è sterile. Si va ai supplementari: la prima palla-gol è del Siviglia: lancio al volo in contropiede di Rakitic ma il colombiano Bacca, sull'uscita di Oblak, ha la mira troppo alta. Nell'ultimo overtime Gameiro tira sull'esterno della rete. Al 120' Rakitic pesca Gameiro ma il sinistro del francese è bloccato da Oblak.
Inevitabili i calci di rigore, dove la spunta il Siviglia.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
