Bilo da su strme litice Zimovrela ili kamene palate u Kraljevoj luci, ili ledeni prizor iza Zida, svi dramatični pejzaži iz ove serije su realni - u pet zemalja i na dva kontinenta.
Malta je Kraljeva luka, Pentos
Malteški kameni grad Mdina je u prvoj sezoni bio Kraljeva luka. San Anton palata, rezidencija predsednika Malte je mesto gde su kraljevi ubijani a druge palate - Sveti Anđelo, Rikasoli i Manuel su bile druge scenografije koje su se snimale u Vesterosu.
Deneris Targerijan i njen bolesni brat Viseris su, navodno bili preko usklog mora u Pentosu ali su zapravo te scene snimane u drugom delu ovog ostrva. Jedna od najpopularnijih građevina Malte je i Azurni prozor (Azure Window) koji se pojavljuje na venčanju Deneris i Kala Droga.
Zvaničnici Malte negodovali su što se snima na mestu koje je zaštićeno kao spomenik kulture zbog čega se ekipa ove serije spakovala i za narednu sezonu promenila mesto snimanja.
Hrvatska: Kraljeva luka
U drugoj sezoni Kraljeva luka je postala mnogo crvenija zato što se ekipa preselila u Dubrovnik i scene su snimane baš na obali što je posebno bilo važno kada su se vodile borbe i ratnici dolazili sa mora.
Deneris, sada već udovica i majka tri zmaja, se preselila na ostrvo Lokrum. Kuća neumirućih su zapravo Dubrovačke zidine.
Maroko: Junkai i Astapor
Treća sezona vodi Kalisi u potragu za vojskom i brodovima. Producenti su izabrali dva marokanska autentična grada - Ait Benhadu i Esauira da predstave fiktivne gradove Junkai i Astapor.
Oba grada su pod Uneskoovom zaštitom, Ait Benhadu zbog svoje crvene citadele i Esauira zbog zidina u moru. Inače u blizini Ait Benhada su snimani mnogi legendarni filmovi - "Poslednje hristovo iskušenje", "Lorens od Arabije", "Aleksandar" i "Gladijator".
Island - iza Zida
Ako marokansko crveno sunce donosi vatru u "Igru prestola", Island donosi led.
Logično, kada se radilo o severu, trebalo je otiči u severnije delove sveta a nema tog CGI-a koji bi proizveo lepše prizore od Islanda.
Nacionalni park Vatnajokul i Skaftafel glečer su izabrani za drugu sezonu dok je veći deo treće sezone snimljen na zaleđenom jezeru Mivatn.
U četvrtoj sezoni preselili su se u Nacionalni park Tingvelir, zaštićeno mesto neverovatne lepote, takođe pod zaštitom Uneska.
Severna Irska, Britanija: Zimovrel, Ves Dotrak, Kraljev put, Krajoluj, Crni zamak i Gvozdena ostrva
Ono što je Novi Zeland za "Gospodare prstena", to je Severna Irska za "Igru prestola". Istina je da nema zemlje koja je obezbedila toliko lokacija za seriju. Od kula u Zimovrelu do obale Gvozdenih ostrva, od kamene plaže gde se veštica Melisandra porađa do Kraljevog puta.
Ukoliko gledate scene koje su snimane blizu šume, velike su šanse da su snimljene u Tolimor šumi.
Vlastima severnog dela Irske bilo je toliko važno da ova zemlja bude domaćin najviše lokacija u ovoj seriji da su dali 15,5 miliona dolara ali su zauzvrat dobili 109 miliona od turizma i obilaska lokacija gde je snimana ova serija.

In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
