As the Vice President, I feel its important for me to chime in, with regards to the recent ex-Minister of Finance's article. Our President Neferpitou is a young and ambitious member of our country, who wants to see us do great things. His recent actions, however, also show rash tendencies and some possibly naive views. Like Neferpitou, I initially questioned the wisdom of giving Pillow the status of Vice Minister of Finance. His real life training as an accountant and his lack of any active game account, however, gave me enough pause to see what he did. The first thing he did was to spend many hours auditing our national org. Next he setup a public google doc spreadsheet to keep track of our ledger and set about balancing out our budget and accounts. A good chunk of the first twelve or more hours after the national org was obtained was spent sorting it out. Pillow also made sure everyone in the cabinet had access to that spreadsheet so we could watch over the Ministry's shoulder, and he spent the time to walk me through its setup so I was sure I understood it. Asuka's "disappearance" was a little troubling but he had an active second so I saw no need to fret, and all I had to do was to check the spreadsheet and log into the org to check transactions. Other actions, however, caught my eye.

First we signed an MPP with Sweden, which was rather abrupt I thought so I asked our Minister of Foreign Affairs, mrmariokartguy about it, only to learn he did not know a thing about it. Our president went about the signing of the mpp without even telling his MoFA. Next our MoFA explored a possible MPP with the Netherlands, which our President shot down without a thought. Ok... this was getting odd. When I asked him why we signed a MPP with Sweden I was given the answer "Why not?" When I asked about the Netherlands I was given something along the lines of "No reason to." Wait... we gain nothing nor loose nothing really by signing an MPP with either so why one over the other?

When I was informed that Asuka and Pillow had been removed from their posts, I thought it was odd but then I was informed BKthunder had been placed in the job. I literally asked Neferpitou if he was insane. I was told to "Give him a second chance." REALLY?! He had TWO chances as our President and the audits provided some serious questions about BK's actions. "Ok, so its a game, lets chill and move forward," I thought. After all its only a short time before the next Presidential Elections.

Then in IRC our MoFA, in the course of doing his job as our chief diplomat, ended up in discussions with some members of various countries organizing a large scale military action against WTF nations. There was some odd mis-communications in IRC and it seemed like we were being invited into an anti-WTF alliance when we weren't and things were crazy for a bit. Our MoD, MoFA, CP, and myself all ended up in this meeting for a time. We did not participate much, and certainly did not get involved in the attacks. All of this caused Neferpitou to seriously flip out and nearly remove both our MoD and MoFA from office as well. The situation was very chaotic for a while before I managed to sort a few things out, and (I think) calm our President down a bit. In the end I learned that our MoD was flatly against participation in either an alliance or attack and had informed the people present at the meeting of that, prior to my arrival. Our MoFA did NOT try to get any alliances, MPP, or anything out of the countries present but was simply doing his job and remaining in contact with countries outside our own.

After all this had settled a little more I learned a few new troubling things. I won't go into them right here and now but they have given me some serious questions about our current President's plans for Japan's future. It beautifully highlights the fact that our current government needs to improve internal communication. This was just some of the frakked up things that happened today. I am all for exploring friendships with other nations, but at this time, we need to focus on domestic issues. The fact is right now, neither of our "national" military units have functional communes or supply plans, nor the stockpiles of weapons and food required for war. Our domestic economy is just beginning to stabilize and grow and does not need any strain on it. In terms of government we are just beginning to build solid structures and organization. There is, in short, a huge amount of work still to be done, and additional ministries we need/should have. Right now our focus needs to be on building diplomatic bridges and building Japan as a nation into a solid state.

We all want to see Japan become a major name on Primera, but one must crawl, then walk, then run. We cannot just go straight to running, if we try we will have some very predictable and painful results. We need patience, we need to trust one another, and the government needs to communicate among its various branches better. You'll notice that many of the events I outlined above I only discovered far after the fact. That, in and of itself, is a bit troubling imo. The CP and vCP should, more than any, have the best communication and we don't.

TL : DR
Some serious feces is wrong with Japan still. Everyone calm the frak down and work together, and COMMUNICATE ffs.

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
