For the past three months, ePhilippines has managed to survive the wildest turn of events so far: major shifts in the government, intense fluctuations in the economy, great and beyond crazy modes of international relations to name a few. But through all of this, what has become of ePH? Did we really triumphed overcoming those obstacles, or did we just barely survived and still bearing the wounds of the storms that passed us? Let's see in the following aspects:

1) POLITICS

You really don't want to hear this if you're running for any political office, do you?

The ePH politics has been very interesting and very exciting so far. Through the span of three months, we have seen elected congressmen being hit by the "banhammer", even though they have not yet started their jobs as legislators. We became witnesses of the most intense campaigning, at some point being dirty, in ePH yet, especially the congress aspirants: they're starting campaigning as early as the day after the congress elections. We have also read the exchange of lambasting of words by some high-profile politicians in ePH, as if nothing was watching them arguing.

At some point, some ePH citizens didn't know who to choose for a certain political position. Some are just obeying their Political Party Leader (PPL) on who to vote, as they are being messaged by them either in-game or via PM. Others are having conferences under the table on who to pick on what they think is the "right" person for the job. Some just don't know to vote to the point that they just click the "vote" button at any random candidate. The result, some of the elected officials are just plain inexperienced, immature and incompetent. Others are proposing reckless laws just to benefit themselves. A few are being controlled by a HIGHER person, or being a puppet. And just recently, a congress member made the biggest mistake of his term as a legislator. Good luck to you.

2) Economy

Have we really gone forward like this?

The ePH economy has been fragile for the past three administrations led by ex Country President (CP) yujn , ex CP jansuing , and current CP Duoyiza respectively. The ePH economy under former CP yujn 's term had grown steadily yet on a little bit slow pace, since his administration was more focused on improving militarization. Came former CP jansuing 's tenure, he proposed his LIBERAL perspective of growing the economy by inviting foreign businessmen to enter the ePH market. Under current CP Duoyiza 's administration, he introduced the minimum wage policy and set the new exchange rate of PHP
to Gold
at 1 PHP
= 0.06 Gold
.

As the major changes in the economy took place, conflicts emerged between businessmen. The volatility of the local market rose and fell. Some Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) back-stab other CEOs for they have been accusing them for "taking advantage" of the sudden fluctuations in the marketplace. "Self-proclaimed" economists popped out of nowhere and have given their fearless forecasts and analyses to the public. Some immediately believed in them and as a result, it caused several miniature panic-buying scenarios. The Monetary Market (MM) has experienced several lock-downs (a lock-down is where you will have very little profit, if not nothing, if you choose the MM as your basis on earning money). Salaries posted in the Job Market plunged and spiked as the days went by.

3) Domestic and International Relations

Are we friendly enough?

For the past couple of months, we have witnessed the various signage of Mutual Protection Pacts (MPPs) and Non-Aggression Pacts (NAPs). They were created in order to have peace and stability between the two sides of the party who signed the certain agreements, but due to some reasons, these may backfire on one or both sides. One example is the current NAPs between ePH, eChina and eMalaysia. The NAPs between the three countries were welcomed by much of the populace with a smile. Others greeted it with rage. Due to the lack of dissemination of information to the public, the supposed-to-be-constructive NAPs turned to "destructive" ones (as some interpreted it) (you already know who's currently suffering, right?).

Another thing that created a stir to much of the ePH citizens is the change of citizenship of some veteran players from being ePH citizens to eMalaysians and fought for the latter country (eMalaysia). For those who are interested to the story/reasons behind this situation, kindly contact those who were directly involved. And BTW, this story has been long settled, but this has been, still, the fuel for some individuals to rage against their fellow ePH citizens.

---

There are more minor changes that occurred in ePH: too many to mention that it might cause this article to maximize its character limit. Some had little effect on us, while others are still being felt across our nation.

Why did I made this article? Because I'm tired of reading senseless comments about different ideologies that will put us nowhere but downward. I'm tired of seeing others that keep of saying harsh words to each other, all because they still haven't embraced the changes that happened on their surroundings. I had enough of those who were living under a rock for quite some time and then lash irrelevant and insignificant questions on what happened to this and that.

For the newbies, this article is the summary of how vibrant ePH has been for the past three months. Let this be a reminder to you that EVERYTHING CHANGES, and you must cope with those changes or you will be left behind. You must be vigilant on everything that will happen around you as you continue to play the game.

To the veterans, let not history repeat itself. Do you want the newbies to experience the hardships that we encountered when we were enduring the storms that crossed us in-game? Do you want them to see how divided ePH was before? PAST IS PAST! MOVE ON! LOOK UP INTO THE FUTURE! Let's show to them how mighty ePH is! Let's prove to ourselves that we are UNITED, AS ONE, and HAVE NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF!

That's all for now...

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
