There's a link to a youtube video in my banner, there. It's a group of Canadians singing in Stanley Park, Vancouver. I think you should listen to it, it's pretty descriptive of how I feel right now.

I'm not sure, but it sounds like it's about run-aways doing their best to make it from day to day as the glamor and freedom they imagined gives way to the reality of life on their own and strains their friendship.

I'm probably wrong, but I like it better my way, so please don't correct me.

I think there's not going to be any right way to say any of this and, probably, most of you will resent it, anyway. But, it's something that needs to be said and, as time goes on, maybe you'll warm to it. Maybe not but I want to try.

For a long time, the United States had been an outsider in the circles of alliances. We prefered to stay out of them and, when we were in them, they tended to be under-powered and small. This and Canada's friendship with other countries held the United States at bay.

For a number of reasons, with which you are likely familiar, this is no longer the case.

In the coming days, it seems likely the UN will accept an NAP with the United States, no longer able to justify the expense of fighting us and our allies and at the cost of defending their own colonies from the war of attrition I have waged in this past week.

The terms I have presented are as follows:

All wars between the US and UN Nations will be closed.
The US will not directly attack or declare war on any UN nations, with the exception of retaking Canada East Coast, should it be liberated.
The UN will likewise agree not to directly attack or declare war on the United States.
The United States will agree to pay Canada 100% of tax revenue from CEC.

I feel this is a good deal for Canada and, while you may feel otherwise, I would point out that many countries larger than Canada are now occupied in whole by foreign powers that are far less interested in being fair to those they occupy than I am.

But, how is this good for Canada?

First, Canada has an employment problem. I have, myself, given up on running companies in Canada for the shortage of workers. It's killing you and, the last I heard, CEC pulls about 2 gold a day. The United States, on the other hand, has more than 300 foreign nations working in our borders and taking advantage of our markets. The larger labor pool will likely result in greatly increased taxes from CEC which will go entirely to the Canadian government.

Second, you will have access to our markets, which are among the strongest (I would argue the strongest) in the game. Our workers enjoy high wages and the great buying power of USD. When I checked the other day, a worker of my skill (13), after taxes, is able to purchase 3 more Q1 weapons than they can in Poland.

Third, your business owners will have access to our labor markets as well and will be able to sell on them competitively, due to our 1% import tax. I guarantee this tax structure. It has worked well for us and we will not jack it up to screw with you.

And finally, you have the advantage of dealing with a country who would rather this be a partnership than to stand on your neck. There are many nations whose rivalries are bitter, but I've never felt this way about Canada. I will advocate for the rights of any one of you.

This also works well for the United States. Our Military Unit members no longer need to travel, every day, to make use of the communes we have set up and our markets will enjoy more of the cheapest possible goods, which will mean more taxes for us, too.

The only argument I am able to imagine against this arrangement is national pride, which I understand and which I recognize the import of. But, while it is my sincere wish to look out for you, it is my responsibility to look out for my people first. This serves all of our interests as best as possible.

I don't expect that any of this will be well received and I expect many of you would rather stand and fight.

But it's my goal to win your hearts, every one.

Let me know if you need anything, I'll always be here for you.

Love,

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
