First and foremost, I'd like to thank all those who generously supported my campaign and helped me pay down my debts.

Liquid HOMICIDE , Arcusama , met3_ , Lich98 , Vladimir and my new friend BA Baracus . It really warms the heart of this old warrior.

But, let's get down to business. I really should have written this days ago but, man, sometimes it's hard to just get myself to sit down and write. Maybe it's because once I start, I have such a difficult time stopping. ^_^

My fellow Americans, over the past year a crisis has been developing in our nation. Our society has eroded such that I believe it threatens to crumble down to it's very core. It's certainly not unique to us and, indeed, much of the world of eSim seems to be in decline.

I believe the time has come for the leaders of this country to let go of the means we have stubbornly clung to in engaging our community. For more than a year, we have insisted that new players come to us to engage via our forums or IRC.

Don't mistake me, these are still great tools and are likely to continue to be our best avenue. Our ability to control damage through Hell on Wheels on IRC is unparalleled and our ability to collaborate on the forums, such as our Congress does, is too helpful to abandon.

But it's time for us to consider alternative ways of engaging people in places they already are, without asking them to learn something new.

As such, I have developed a Facebook group, Pax Americana , and a Skype group. I sincerely hope that every active American joins one of those two, even if they already use IRC or the forums. A society is defined by interconnectedness and that depends on all of us seeking to connect with everyone else.

Pax Americana, on Facebook, will offer more detailed information on our movements and strategies that are too sensitive for public discussion as well as offering a supplies for those that can respond on Facebook while we are running Hell on Wheels on IRC.

Our Skype group will similarly offer supplies and present a chance for our entire society to engage in one long and on going discussion.

As such, there are security concerns in opening these avenues and it is therefore necessary to verify new members in-game before adding them but that will be the only mechanism necessary for our players to engage each other and their government.

If you would like to join the Facebook group, please click the link and send an in-game PM to me, LordRahl2 , Liquid HOMICIDE or Lich98 .

If you're interested in the Skype group, message either me or brethern3 .

I cannot stress enough how important I believe this is to ensure the continued success of our nation. I do hope you join us.

Of course, these are not the only problems we face and another issue I would like to address is taxes, employment and MU supplies. I state this as one issue, because they are all inter-related. As things stand, we have a staggering short-fall of workers, with our most developed talent committed to communing in their MU's, and much of the supplies being dispatched doled out, more or less, blindly.

I'm not sure this can be helped, but I do have some ideas and I would like to sit down with the leaders of our Military Units and see if we cannot come up with at least a partial solution that is palatable.

There are big picture questions too. Our alliance seems to be developed entirely on the concept of invading Lithuania which, in my opinion, is a pretty lousy way to define an alliance. Don't mistake me, as much as it disappoints me to see my efforts to hold Poland and Lithuania together (mostly due to the efforts of one kid clinging to a grudge, I might add), there is no reason I wouldn't support our alliance if that's what they wish to do.

However, if vitriol directed at Lithuania is the glue we choose to bind our alliance together, it will be a short lived alliance. We must develop a greater purpose than that and finding that definition will be my priority.

There's probably a lot more, but I think I've gone on quite enough for the time being.

All these things, I will offer regardless of if I am elected or not and should I not be the next president, I will collaborate with them to make these tools and my experience available to them.

I have set a personal goal, as well, should I be elected.

Come hell or high water, I will write an article every day. Even if I'm just saying 'Hi'. And I'd like to challenge every one of you to write an article every week, just for kicks.

I guess I can announce my cabinet, too.

I have not chosen a VP, but should I win I would like to extend that position to Volitza . I can't say I know him very well but I would like to.

My Secretaries of State will be Shepherd Of Fire and Firo Prochainzo , I've worked with both for a long time now and I believe Mushy's fire will be quite a good compliment for Firo's ice.

I have chosen Shylock for my Secretary of the Treasury and as my Secretary of Fun, he will be working with me to develop fun and engaging events for us all to share in, in addition his bean counting duties. This will no doubt be controversial, but I stand by him and accept full responsibility for his decisions.

LordRahl2 has accepted the position of Secretary of Defense, with mrmariokartguy as Director of Hell on Wheels

Anyway, that's the broad strokes folks. I've got all hell breaking loose down stairs, so I'll catch up with you soon.

Love,

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
