We managed to defend the critical regions of Canada East Coast and USA Pacific Coast yesterday but let our Gulf Coast fall to the French. France is continuing their push today into our Capital region of Central USA but will face a 20% debuff because a successful resistance war in Castile Leon last night has cut off their connection back to their own capital. The US is also facing a resistance in Quebec and leading one in the Gulf Coast.
Congress elections are coming up tomorrow. I am running for a seventh term and hope that my experience and high public profile will be enough to get me into office. Earlier this week I asked other candidates to tell me why they are running, so instead of promoting my own campaign, today I will present the candidates in their own words.
bouncer535 Citizen for 538 Days, Congressman for 0 terms
I believe I'd make a good congressman because I have experience in e-sim and know how it works. Though my only real political experience was as PP of NAF, I am a quick learner. I have a account on our boards though I stopped getting on because of low activity on them. I get on several times a day for a couple minutes so I won't miss voting. I also believe that congress should inform the public more on their actions which is something I would do unless of course it is something like a DoW. I also take the time to write an article every time I run.
georgesaade130 Citizen for 283 Days, Congressman for 1 term
I was elected once and it was one month ago,it was a really exciting time for me since I entered a long time after the server started and this was the time I felt that I can make something.
I was very active at that time and was always helping, even by running HoW sometimes and published orders once.
I also pitched in,in making ideas for the takes and about wars.
if you were in congress at that time I hope you remember me.
anyway I started having less activity these days considering that I'm no longer in congress and was getting a little bored until we started the wars against Canada and Mexico.

I am not going to tell you anything you do not already know... I am in Congress because I feel there is a need for the people to have a voice. I am not saying the others do not give them fair representation, but what I am saying is I have the grit to even oppose the most powerful of our colleagues. Even to the point of what you witnessed during the import tax discussion. I feel my opposing views helps Congress in creating better laws, because when I oppose something, it encourages a more complete analysis.
(sometimes I am even right! ).
I'm very new, but I have been serving for over a month as the US ambassador to Argentina, and I've served one full term in Congress. I've been active in-game (never missed a day), as well as on IRC and in the forums. As you can see by my recent posting in the forums, I'm trying to make the Congress a bit more open with the US citizens, and I'm hoping that my draft will get the ball rolling on more frequent communications between the government and the people. I haven't been as active as I'd like to be, but that's mainly due to school, but since the year is winding down now, I should be able to get more active.
CrowRobot Citizen for 360 Days, Congressman for 1 term
I have enjoyed my first term, learning a lot more about the game. My qualities as a congressman? I listen more than I speak and I am very active. I am on the forums constantly when I am home and IRC when I am able to devote attention to it. I am not a absentee congressman, I am not after the medal. I greatly appreciate the consideration.
Sivle Citizen for 403 Days, Congressman for 5 terms
I am your average guy who happens to actually like politics in game and out of the game.I am always active on both the game a the USA forums.I fight for what i believe in and don't drop out just because an influential player goes against me.I give it my all and am persistent.I believe in America and that she can reach new heights every term and be the sole superpower and not just in territories but in economics and morals(Being a role model to the world).I have been playing for quite a while and started out low and by doing my best i climbed up. I started as a regular player just helping out my MU leader then i became an Ambassador and that went well, then i became Sec of State and finally a Congressman. So ive had a good amount of experience in the game. Im an advisor currently and some day i plan on being the Sec of State once more and who knows what else i can be...
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
