Article #28
I cannot believe that this argument has to be had a second time, America. Regular subscribers (AKA awesome people) are aware that I have made this case before , just a few months ago.
So, why should we decrease the import taxes to 3%? The first question one should ask is why are import taxes on goods we have no excuse to be inefficient in producing at 15%? It is a totally unnecessary tax. It serves no purpose other than protecting people who have no right to be in the marketplace. We have high iron and, therefore, can produce weapons and iron as efficiently as possible. Our businesses have no excuse to not be able to compete against any foreigner that might come. If they cannot compete, it is a sign that they need to get out of the market, not seek a protective import tax from the government.
A 3% import tax is still an adequate protection for any efficient businessmen. If you cannot survive under that, get out of the market. If you are relying on raw material companies of quality 3 or below, you should get out of the market. Period.
To go further, Congress is currently approving of lowering the weapon import tax to 3%, while denying the decrease in iron import taxes. Why? If we are to believe the naysayers, and fall for the sheer folly that is the belief that this will hurt us, why would they undermine the very market they seek to protect? If we are to follow the ideals of the protectionist faction, they believe high import taxes protect American businesses, and low import taxes hurt American businesses. So by their own logic, they seek to hurt American weapon companies, which would, in turn, hurt American iron producers. The internal logic of the current protectionist faction is shaky at best, and downright incomprehensible at worst.
So, let us move onto another argument for keeping import taxes high. New players need to get a start in business somehow. Indeed they do, but why would we seek to achieve this by protecting inefficient business? Inefficient business hurts America. Furthermore, in this regard we need to come to an agreement as a nation. What is more important? Stuff(and through stuff, damage) or gold in our pockets? A lowering of the import tax means that weapons are less expensive for the American consumer, and American workers (who participate in the labor market, not the communers) will be in a better state because of it. If relatively new players want to try their hand at running a company and making profit (which anyone can do, really-provided they have an adequate knowledge of game mechanics), I suggest taking advantage of the Government Loan Program . That is an old article, but there have been no Congressional decisions to stop it, so you should still be able to get a loan
However, there is one last issue that must be discussed. The Congress already approved the decision to do this in the Congressional forums (which every single Congressman should check on a daily basis). If this many Congressmen are against this proposal, why not speak up in the halls of Congress? Could it be that y'all are inactive and can't be bothered to do the job that the American people elected you to do? I sure hope not!
Ultimately, the goal of our government is to maximize our damage potential. Not to line the pockets of individual players with gold. As the great economists of old stated, stuff>gold.

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
