So as I'm sure everyone's already noticed, there was a bit of a stir, plus an impeachment that failed resoundingly. As usual, I'm sure that people would like to know the God King's opinion on this bit of slapfighting going on, and as usual, the God King is eager and ready to break this stuff down into little digestible chunks that people can understand.
So here are the facts.
1. HoW was opened for the WW, by RealD, a HoW staff member. Pillow threw a rather immature hissy fit about this situation, and changed the DoD org's pass word without notifying the SoD, nor the auditor, as has been protocol for ages.
2. Pillow was rather vocal about his personal issues with the World War event, and publically whined about it in the shoutbox the previous day.
3. Enraged Mushroom was vocal in his opposition to what Pillow did, as were many people in the cabinet, congress, the HoW staff, and many of our active common citizens.
Next, after a fairly amusing photographic break, I'll break down all the reasons why Pillow engaged in poor decision making, allowed himself to be caught up in niggling details in the wrong areas, was bad and should feel bad.
Alright, so the World War event was artificial and meant nothing. This is true. No one is disputing that fact, nor is it even an issue.
However, those failing to see the effects of such an event, nor the possibilities, are missing the bigger picture. Many Americans actually participated, joined the irc channel, met many players we'd been previously opposing, socialized, got together, and with a little support of RealD and myself, showed the USA's capacity to be team players to the rest of the world...until Pillow put a stop to it.
Yes, Pillow is supposed to be stewarding our treasury, that is his job. However, a lot of his cabinet, myself included, had recommended American support, and that a few hundred gold be put aside, in order to allow the common American citizen an opportunity to go out, blow off some steam, and show off to the rest of the e-Sim citizens, that Americans aren't always selfish needy people who don't know how to play their role IN a team, even an artificial one. The treasury is not hurting, and this is something we were stocked and staffed for, very easily.
More importantly, the gold is not Pillow's, the gold is the American people's, and many of you hopped into IRC, were excitedly involved in the rivalry, many of whom I'd never seen on IRC before. This COULD have been a solid opportunity to engage more of our two clickers and add some new additions to our active community...and that, my friends, is the real shame. Gold comes and goes, but our team, and our teammates should know that they can depend on the USA, regardless of who that team is. I would spend every penny in the treasury if it means that our citizens are happy, coordinating, participating and kicking ass as often as needed, and allowed us to grow our population even more.
Allowing someone's personal feelings to be put ahead of our citizens and our citizens' willingness to get involved with the small things, only leads to their apathy when we actually need them to be engaged...and Pillow? You dropped the ball here.
After yet another amusing photographic break, I'll weigh in on the final aspects and close this out!
Many things were said over the course of the WW's night time, and there are some facts involved that need to be highlighted.
1. Notify the GD auditor and SoD IMMEDIATELY. Should something serious have arisen after the WW, which it did, in the case of our ally, Lithuania, and HoW needing to be "legitimately" opened, you did something that could have and did cripple our capacity to support our allies in legitimate areas. This is solely on your head, and you should take the blame for it. No personal feelings should ever be put ahead of the nation's, as a community, nor effect our ability to support our allies when it matters.
2. Stop trying to justify an immature hissy fit. Especially when I heard the words "RealD getting fined or banned." Should that have happened, I would have been pissed. I would have done things. I would have done things you would not have liked. Grow up. It IS the HoW staffs' collective responsibilities to open HoW and is a part of their charter. Deal with it. Stop trying to play the martyr card, and stop trying to paint everyone else as wrong. You screwed up, Pillow. Take responsibility, both for the people who elected you, and the people who wanted to be a little irresponsible in an event, be it artificial or not.

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
