As most of us have seen, CEC is back in Canadian control for the first time in months. While it is nice to see Canada free, we must not forget the developments that have occurred in recent months allowing Canada to stand on it's own feet without possession of CEC.
To those unaware, we have had a great relationship with USA when it comes to CEC. We have negotiated a successful NAP on multiple occasions to peacefully rent this region to our southern neighbours. This NAP was put in place via official referendum of the Canadian public, in which an overwhelming majority voted to RESIGN an NAP. The Canadian people have been happy with the rental agreement, as they should be, America has been great to us even when they don't have to be.
What did Canada do without it's own high region? Naturally we went looking for one. We headed west to South Korea where we met some resistance and at times, might have considered turning back. Luckily for us, our neighbours in the south, out of free will, came to our aid and helped us secure SK. They were NOT allies officially, but they acted like it.
This brings us to CEC. Yesterday, Omega secured CEC for Canada. The Swedish and Polish put a great amount of effort into taking this region for us, and of course we are thankful, flattered even that they would consider coming over with such authority and grabbing this region for us without hesitation.
Canada has been very successful in building strong relationships with other countries. Not just allied countries, but countries that we find it easy to see eye to eye with. Our current government prides itself building and knowing the importance of these relationships.
With these relationships however, comes the responsibility for being loyal and respectful. Doing on to others as they've done to us. America showed great loyalty to us in helping us get Jeolla back from their allies, Indonesia. It soon may be our turn to return the favour to America.
Unfortunately, some here in Canada do not agree with this. Thinking we should merely hold onto to what is handed to us. These individuals quickly forget the power other countries possess compared to Canada.
According to stats I have kept since becoming MoD 2 months ago, Canada is the 28th most powerful nation in e-Sim, compared to USA who rank 11th. They possess 2 1/2 times the power we do. Indonesia ranks 3rd, possessing 6 times the power we do. Needless to say, it wouldn't be smart of us to play games with two relative powerhouses sharing borders with us.
Canada is where it is today thanks largely to our attention to friendship, loyalty, respect and tireless work behind the scenes building relationships with countries important to us.
Unlike countries like Poland, Lithuania, Serbia, Indonesia, we cannot simply erase mistakes by focusing our damage in a couple of battles. Our only option is to prove our worth through other means, something that takes a lot of time and can easily be undone with a few wrong words.
Please consider the work that HAS been done and if you haven't been able to see it for yourself, pop in to the IRC channel a little more often. This game is a lot bigger than what you see when you log in, take it from somebody who puts in 2+ hours almost daily offline.
Thanks for taking the time to read. I hope this clears things up for some of you who are confused at what to think about all of the nonsense posted recently in the shoutbox.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
