Greetings, Filies and Gentlecolts of the United States and abroad.

As you've probably already guessed, this is being written by me, Lilith of Apollyon , personally. I am doing so because I feel this is a matter that this is so delicate and important that it requires my personal attention.

Many of you, citizens of the United States, as well as people and government officials abroad are probably very confused as to what is going on. In particular, 'Why is the United States supporting Canada over Indonesia, our allies?'

Before this decision can be understood, it is important that the background be understood.

The United States, under Pfeiffer, made a rental agreement with Canada to continue our rental arrangement for Canadian East Coast. These terms include increased rent, a clause ensuring the return of CEC if it were lost by external support and, most relevant, giving Canada the right to declare the NAP null and void if Jeolla province should be lost.

Yesterday, without the knowledge of or consult of any United States officials, Indonesia with the support of AGC declared war on Canada in order for Indonesia to expand it's economic interests. This is understandable and, it should be noted, AGC was unaware of the Jeolla escape clause. Frankly, I wasn't entirely clear on what the deal was until this came up. None the less, I feel it is pretty clear that the United States should be made generally aware of plans such as this, especially when they involve neighbors whom we rent from.

Simply put, someone really needed to talk to us about this and there was really no reason for it not to be. Jeolla wasn't going anywhere and there was no need for Indonesia and AGC to push immediately. I do not think this was expressly done with the intention of going 'behind our backs' but I do think it shows poor judgment and a lack of consideration for us, as allies.

Not only do we already have a strained and awkward relationship with Canada, but Canada and particularly Owen has gone above and beyond the terms of the NAP/Rental Agreement by making every effort to keep UNICO out of CEC, which is constantly under assault. This is not required of him, but he does so because he understands our relationship is difficult enough without added stress. He understand that, by paying for something, we expect some level of respect for the underlying principle of the agreement; i.e. that we're paying a premium for use of a thing and expect the owner to protect our right to use it.

This leaves us in a peculiar position. Indonesia, despite having made a snap decision that has serious implications for the United states, has been a fantastic ally. On the other hand, Canada has a very tense and ambiguous relationship with us, but their leadership has gone above and beyond to fulfill the spirit of our agreement.

Now, I know a great many Americans, even some in my staff, who believe we should not pay any rent. But many of these people don't seem to recognize that there are many Canadians who reciprocate this resentment and would prefer no rental agreement and take CEC back, by force if necessary. As much as many Americans would scoff at this notion, I assure you that is not an impossible scenario by any stretch of the imagination. The uneasy peace between us is maintained, to a large degree, by both the United States and Canadian top officials recognizing that serious conflict between our countries are in neither of our interests.

This left me with three options, none of them very appealing. First, I could stand by Indonesia because they have been very supportive allies and, if it came to it, attempt to hold CEC by force. I think that would have eventually failed and left a rift between us and our neighbors that I don't think would ever rightly heal. Second, I could support Canada and risk losing the support of allies I have a great respect and appreciation for. Third, I could stay quiet and try to appease both and potentially lose the respect of both.

The decision I came to is that we will support Canada and honor the spirit of the agreement we made with Canada. My reasoning is that Canada has already gone out of their way for us in a similar way. I did not write the agreement with Canada, but I do feel obligated to uphold it and, both according to the letter, but according to the spirit of mutual respect it was written in. Also, that Indonesia really, really should have at least brought this up with us before expecting our support. They have been great allies to us, certainly, but we have also been great allies to them; having supported their liberation against our long-time friends in China. We deserve at least a say in actions that effect us, regardless of how much of the NAP was known.

I do wish to make one thing clear, should Indonesia's invasion fail the United States will not support any invasion of Indonesia by Canada or any of her partners and will put every bit of our support behind Indonesia should this be taken as an opportunity to take advantage of them up to and including future support of Indonesia in Jeolla, should peace not be made. I may not support them, at this moment, but I will not betray them.

I have little hope that anyone will be pleased with this, but acting based on your principles frequently has this effect. However, I am confident that it is the right thing to do and that we will, all of us, will continue to find our way and, perhaps, even manage to still be friends.

All the best,

His Holiness; Hentai Christ, the Loli Drama
Equus Maximo of all Ponydom and President of the United States

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
