MU expansion is important to members and its home country. As an MU grows, the ability to expand becomes an ever more expensive and complicated proposition. The goal of this article is to explore the possibilities – how far can a communing MU grow? The ultimate MU goals:

1. Be an elite MU with 50 members
2. Provide DAILY supplies of 10 Q5 Food, 10 Q5 Gifts, 105 Q1 Weapons, and 2 Q5 Tickets for each member

Total Supplies Required for 50-member faction:
• 500 Q5 Food
• 500 Q5 Gift
• 5250 Q1 Weapon
• 100 Q5 Ticket

Is this impossible? Let’s find out!

Recall that Worker productivity drops 3.333% for each citizen that works at a company, and for the purpose of this first analysis, we’re not allowing for any hiring of outsiders.

Producing Q5 Food - Members left = 50

To produce the required 500 Q5 food per day in one company, it would take 16 citizens of economy skill 7 (hereafter “e7” ). This could be reduced to 13 citizens if one utilized three separate Q5 food companies, which would cost 780 gold to set up. Using e8 for all folks would reduce the citizens needed to 12.

The grain to build all that food from a Q5 company would require 10 citizens of e7 or higher. This could be reduced to 9 citizens with 2 additional Q5 grain companies, and reduced further to 8 citizens over the 3 total Q5 Grain companies if they were e8.

So – we’ve now used 20 citizens to get all 50 potential MUers just Q5 food. Next up is Q1 weapons.

Producing Q5 Weapons - Members left = 30
Here we run into a large problem – an e7 citizen can produce 103 Q1 weapons working as the first person that day – yet all 50 people need 105 Q1 weapons daily. An e8 citizen makes 112 Q1 weapons, but we’ll still never get where we need to at that rate, even with the creation of massive amounts of Q1 Weapon Companies.

For now, let’s assume the goal is a more reasonable 50 Q1 weapons. 3 citizens working can produce approximately 300 Q1 weapons daily. To produce 50x50 (2500) daily, that means we need 9 Q1 weapons companies and 25 communers. Switch to e8s and you reduce that number to 23. This leaves just 7 communers to produce 5000 iron and 100 tickets daily. Not going to happen. Let’s drop the weapons down to 35 (1750 Weapons daily) – that would only require 6 Q1 weapons companies and 18 communers. Using level 8s would drop this to 17 communers.

We’ve used 37 citizens now – 13 left, and Iron is next. To produce the 1750 weapons daily, we need 3500 iron daily. 3 Q5 iron companies with 4 e7s a piece would leave you a little short – throw in e8s and you’re there with a little room to spare.

Producing Q1 Tickets - Members left = 1:
Sadly, your last communer won’t get you where you need to be for tickets – assume those are purchased outside for now, and we’ll move onto how we can possibly fill out our daily supplies.

Deficit of supplies and Capital:
Per the above, the best a MU with level 8 economy skill citizens can muster for daily supplies is 10 Q5 food, 35 Q1 weapons, and whatever it can afford for tickets from donations. This improves, of course, if the economy skill of the MU exceeds 8 – but that isn’t easy for new or growing MUs.

It cost 1070 Gold to get to the point of offering 10 Q5 Food and 20 Q1 Weaps + 2 Q1 Tickets daily for 30 members. Then there’s the 200 Gold cost to open up 20 more slots. From the calculations above for new companies there comes a cost of: 790 gold for two new Q5 food companies, 790 gold for two new Q5 grain companies, 990 gold to upgrade our Q4 iron company to Q5 and to purchase two new Q5 iron companies, and 80 gold to set up 4 new Q1 weapons companies – a grand total of 2850 gold in addition to the starting amount of 1070…not exactly a paltry sum!

Even with 2850 gold, we’d still only gotten to provide daily supplies of 10 Q5 Food and 35 Q1 Weapons for 50 e8 Citizens. We’re missing 70 Q1 weapons per day per member, 10 Q5 gifts per day per member, and 2 Q5 tickets per day per member. That’s a shortfall of 3500 Q1 weapons daily, 500 Q5 gifts daily, and 100 Q5 tickets daily. Approximate market value? 63 gold for the weapons, 60 gold for the gifts, and 12 gold for the tickets – about 135 gold per day.

Revenue Generation:
Potential profit avenues include running companies for profit, offering loans and earning interest, and direct subsidies (perhaps from an interested government - *wink wink* congress). Running Q5 companies for profit can vary – let’s assume on average you can earn 4 gold daily per Q5 company. This would require 34 Q5 companies to fill the gap – requiring just a measly 13,260 gold to set up – plus a few hundred gold in working capital, and a few people crazy enough to try to run that many companies. Let’s assume loans could produce 0.5% interest daily on average – that’d take 27,000 gold constantly on loan to produce enough income. A benevolent government could afford it – but surely it has better things to do with its money than give it to a single MU – even if it is fighting on their behalf.

So it isn’t Reasonable. So What? Dedicated Members make it conceivable.

So was this just a long-winded article to prove that our MU goals make us either crazy, or stupid, or both? Perhaps we needed to see it on paper – and even then, we still don’t want to believe it true. What might be possible to attain at this point is the 50-member MU that gives out 10 Q5 food per day, 35 Q1 weapons per day, and 2 tickets per day – and that is something any growing, communing MU should strive for. Approximate cost of making that happen for us is 2850 gold – not an easy sum to get, but not impossible. Whether or not we can do that will depend on the dedication of our members – and the expansion of your MU depends on the same. Earning just medals, a 50-person MU produces at least 10 gold per person per month (SS and HW). If all that is donated to the MU, we’d get there in 6 months. Throw in some leveling gold, referral gold and others – and perhaps we arrive in 3. After that, it is a matter of attempting to build up a massive trading empire of 34 Q5 companies – a feat which is seemingly impossible. Self-funding would be key – use the 500 gold the MU members earn to buy 1 Q5 company. That company earns 200 gold profit per month. 700 income purchases nearly 2 more Q5 companies, which in turn increases profit to 1100 per month. Fast forward and we have our 34 Q5 companies in 8 months.

Surely it isn’t this easy. But what else are we going to work toward? What else are you going to work toward?

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
