Greetings and welcome to the latest issue of Pixel Trash
I mentioned in the last issue I'd be looking at the gold value of wages for all skill levels this week. So I did that yesterday. What I didn't know before I started doing these 'top wages' articles is that Uldrer has been doing something very similar for a long time now. Me such a newb
Anyway, because Uldrer's article appeared just before I was going to publish my own I've decided to play around a bit with ways to present the info to you. Please let me know what works best for you and if you want me to do similar articles then PLEASE subscribe to the newspaper, vote and let others know what's going on too. I'm sure Ulder would agree, it takes a lot of time and effort to do assemble this kind of info. I'm not trying to do a better version or compete with Uldrer or anybody else doing similar things, just looking at the same available data in a slightly different way and experimenting with the best ways to get the info out to the playerbase
Here we go then. This first table is unsorted and uses data I collated yesterday. It gives gold buying value of wages after tax deduction for all countries at all skill levels for Day 344. The clickable image is best seen at full size so click it once for a preview, and click again to view in full size. All images are stashed at Image Shack.
Figures in econ skill columns tell you how many days it would take you to earn 1 Gold with best pay on offer for each country. So THE LOWER THE FIGURE there the QUCKER YOU WILL EARN GOLD. Example, level 5 skill worker in Sweden would have to work 1.28 days to earn 1 gold whereas worker in UK with same skill has to work 1.31 days to earn enough to buy 1 gold.
To make it easier to see which countries are best for wages here's a few tables using the same data but this time sorting countries by rank according to the 'gold buying power' of their best avalaible wages (for Day 344 remember).
Whilst it's still a bit cluttered the table above does at least make it a cinch to find the best wage paying countries for your skill level. Or maybe you're not so interested in single band skill levels, maybe you're into the bigger picture. This next table ranks countries according to the sum of the 'gold value' of their top wage for all all econ skill levels. I hope that makes sense, a picture will help here. Bleh, well it helps me anyways
OK, something different to finish with, a look at which job sectors have most of the top jobs. No need for a graphic this time, I've simply copied over the Excel data and formatted it here.
Defense 4
Diamonds 22
Estate 4
Food 37
Gift 28
Grain 27
House 11
Iron 40
Oil 23
Stone 18
Ticket 34
Weapon 111
Wood 11
In case you're wondering why the total products is only 370 it's because 9 countries were not offering any jobs. Those countries were: Russia, Macedonia ,Lithuania, Latvia, Turkey, South Korea, India, Ireland, Switzerland. Actually, India was still offering jobs at some of the higher econ skill levels but I discounted them from the tally.
That'll do for now I think. Hopefully you'll find something of interest in this issue of Pixel Trash. Some little things that caught my attention....I'm UK so it was good to see UK's wages being worth quite a bit at the higher levels and at our 6th rank in the 'summed' rankings. Colombia, which was offering no jobs last time I looked has seen a stone industry appear with jobs, at poor wages, offered for all econ skill levels. I'm not even sure if Colombia has a working admin/government? Also, when I first started Greece was often said to be the best place to work if you wanted high wages and this is still the case when looking at 'summed' rankings.
There you go then. Sub if you want to see more of the same or let me know if there's something else you'd like to see covered and I'll see what I can do. Lemme know of any errors!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
Invest, produce and sell - be an entrepreneur in E-Sim.
