It's bigger than us all.

When it plays you feel no pain

Different Strokes?

As I'm sure anyone with a pair of eyes has noticed lately, the major drama surrounding the NAR party's recent socialist turn has been top news for a couple days running. As I stated on eNPR last night, my feelings have nothing to do with "OMG COMMUNISMZ!" Speaking as someone who works in a military commune to better my MU's supplies, socialism is already present in our daily lives. This is not the issue.

The issue is how Miles disengenuously misrepresented the party as a patriotic American pride party to attract newbs, only to ambush them with an idealogy that many of them are finding out that they wanted no part in. This is a serious issue, and needs to be addressed in an honest and open manner, not cloaked in idealogy or rhetoric to disguise the real goals of the party.

So let's break down the goals and idealogy. They believe that the working class in America is voiceless and stuck working for monetary gain for faceless companies and corporations backed by those with means. They also believe that the workers are not being adequately represented and neither are their needs. They'd like to essentially use MU commune labor to destroy the local market, thus forcing everyone to simply work for items.

Point by point, allow me to rebut these blatant falsehoods, but first, let's take a short break.

Idealogy Busted

First off, let me explain a few things about how this game works mechanically. A free market is a living and vibrant entity. No matter how many hits it takes, it will adjust to supply, demand, wage versus labor, etc. So even if everyone agreed to play ball, and began deconstructing the economy via MU commune labor, there can and WILL be people there to counter it with their own labor generated via commune. People adapt. Markets adapt, and the fewer domestic producers are allowed room for profit, the more people will be looking to find ways to fix it. Furthermore, this won't stop importers either, and people will STILL purchase from the markets. Mechanically, there IS no way to stop them.

Next, let's take a closer look at the core beliefs here, that the workers are being exploited and have no voices.

Folks, when I first became president, most of the services the everyday citizen enjoys daily now, did not exist. No Operation Cornucopia, No Op: PewPew, no Hell on Wheels, no government loan programs, nothing. We had an Army MU purchased from congressional medal gold and very little else.

I recognized this as an issue and put half of those programs on track during my tenure, while the rest I voted for while in congress.

What are these? Social programs designed to hand out food, gifts and weapons to our everyday citizens of all levels, experience and strengths.

Does this sound like an oppressive government to you? If so, what would we have to gain by putting your tax dollars back in your pockets via great programs like these? A little good will so we continue our elitist ways and exploitation? Don't make me laugh.

The last point they claim is that the every day citizen has no voice in the way our country is governed. I also contend this point, by pointing out the track record of almost every single president we've had since my last term. EACH spent training new players to get involved, showing them the ropes, getting them started as ambassadors, who can then climb the ladder into the State department which oversees our foreign policies!

Voiceless? I think not. I think perhaps they'd like for you to think you are and treat you like pawns in a game that has ultimately no winner.

If Miles and Lolz911 truly believed their own rhetoric, why go to the trouble of hiding it?

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
