Hey everyone,

The last little while all kinds of ideas have been passed around about changing how houses function in the game. All of these ideas have been met with various positive and negative responses from the citizens of e-Sim. I would like to propose 5 ideas that I think will be met with positivity from housing company owners, as well as citizens alike who intend on using housing:

#1: Houses SHOULDN'T be indestructible:

The idea that houses could burn was met with a lot of negativity as it is an easy way to turn players away from playing the game. Imagine saving up for a house only to have it burn the following week.. Would you be motivated to continue playing? At the same time however, indestructible houses is going to flood the housing market and shut down all housing companies. What happens when everybody has a house?

#2: Houses SHOULD increase daily food limit AND gift limit.

Let's face it, 50 health isn't much incentive to buy a house, the idea proposed by admin to raise the daily food limit according to quality of house is a good one. However, because it costs money to buy food and gifts, not to mention the reality of people in real life only own 1 house, I think houses should increase both gift and food limit by 1, up to 5 according to quality. This would also eliminate the need to add estates.

Housing benefits, according to quality:

Q1 = 1 extra food AND gift
Q2 = 2 extra food AND gift
Q3 = 3 extra food AND gift
Q4 = 4 extra food AND gift
Q5 = 5 extra food AND gift

#3: Why Estates SHOULDN'T be included:

DS's and hospitals are already made of stone. Adding a 3rd product makes it the most important resource by far. The balance in importance of resources as they stand now are great, as I think many would agree. It also makes less work for admin updating the game since he doesn't have to add an entire new element.

#4: Houses SHOULD deteriorate:

This is important to keep the housing market alive. If nothing happens to your house, housing companies will soon all be out of business. Not to mention the market will be flooded with old houses nobody wants.

So how should houses deteriorate? There has been many different suggestions here. Limiting houses to a certain number of uses seems rather popular, but let's think about the real world for a second... Do you lose your house after living there for a certain amount of time? I hope not...

#5: My suggestion on house deterioration:

Every 30 days your house will downgrade to the level below. HOWEVER, this does not mean it will stay this way, unless you neglect the situation. I propose that once you have bought a house, that you can contact a housing company to have them patch it up and return it to it's original condition.

Patching a house will take 20% of the amount of wood used to build the house, per levels needed to restore for the owner of the housing company, but NO productivity from workers, allowing for people to instantly have their houses fixed as long as the company has wood in stock. This way, you won't be relying on somebody to work at the company just to get your house fixed.

Examples: If your Q5 house deteriorates 2 levels over a couple of months down to a Q3, it will take 600 wood to restore back to Q5.
If your Q4 house deteriorates over a 3 month period down to a Q1, it will take 720 wood to restore.

Wood needed for restoration, by Quality for 1 month:

Q5 = 300
Q4 = 240
Q3 = 180
Q2 = 120

Allowing housing companies to patch up houses will allow housing companies to continually have business, like a grain company or weapon company, since the demand for their help would never disappear.

So what about Q1 houses I hear you asking? Q1 houses are the lowest of quality, and with low quality comes problem.. When your Q1 house deteriorates, it will be gone. BUT! The owner of the house will be left with 75% of the wood from the original quality of the house to sell, or do what they please. This will stop the market from being flooded with houses.

Wood received from Q1 Deterioration by Original House Quality (What the house was originally built at):

House built as Q1 = 225
House built as Q2 = 450
House built as Q3 = 675
House built as Q4 = 900
House built as Q5 = 1125

The reason I don't think you should be able to patch up Q1 houses is because patching up any other house is going to cost close to a Q1 house anyway.

I hope these ideas sound good to most of you, and most importantly, admin... I am quite sure these changes would provide the best gameplay experience for everybody in the e-Sim world. If you agree with these changes, please share the article in your respective country so that we can find other likeminded people interested in helping houses develop for the better.

Thanks for taking the time to read!

Cheers,

SDV

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
