Good afternoon my dear readers. The dark side is strong and is with you again. This is my first international article and the reason behind it, is a discussion within the Greek community, regarding the path our market will take. This gave rise to an idea for a proposal towards the admins. I know beforehand that many people won't like it, as it might hurt their economical interests. Nevertheless, because it's more important to evolve the game, expand the playing community and give some interest to the newcomers, I believe that this is something that could help.

But it's time to clear things up and explain what I mean. As you know, most markets are on the brink of collapsing, as products and goods are sold really low, with only a few businessmen able to cope in such low prices. If a new player decides to follow the economic path in the game, he will soon find himself in a position where he cannot compete with older players, who will push him aside and force him to close his businesses. Being an older player in the game, means you were here when the game was starting up, with few companies around and lots of room to develop economically to be really strong. New players cannot compete with that. They do not have the chance to come in to the market with equal prospects and capabilities. The addition of stock markets, is further killing the smaller players.

How do we expect from players to find an interest in the game, when the game itself is becoming so boring and uncompetitive for them? We want to attract new players, but at the same time we deny them the opportunity to get involved and enjoy some aspects. Thus, we are driving them away in the end. Strong players don’t really care. They might see no harm in this, so they say “it’s a free market... whoever can keep up, can stay”. It’s their right, I guess, to express their selves like that and to deny losing what they have fought all this time for.

To keep it sort and avoid any more beating around the bush, I will go straight to my proposal. I believe that the admins should seriously consider setting a limit to the companies, an individual, an MU, or a stock company, can own. Perhaps even an Org. Obviously, different limits will apply in each case, as an individual is not the same with an MU or an Org. This limit can either be in the form of an absolute number, i.e. 5 for individuals, 10 for MUs, etc., or based on a point system, similar to the system in place for the defensive buildings in the regions.

In the latter choice, a raw company will worth a set amount of points, regardless of quality, let’s say 3. Manufacturing companies will worth points according to their quality. I.e. 2 for Q1, 3 for Q2, 5 for Q3, 7 for Q4, 10 for Q5. Each player will be able to have companies that the total worth is no more, let’s say, 30 points. The only way to surpass the limit, will be by upgrading a company while still below the limit. After reaching or passing the limit, no more upgrades, creation, buying or donation received will be possible. In a similar way, there will be limits for MUs, stock companies and Orgs.

What will happen with the companies, if this proposal comes into effect, that are already in the game and owned by players and others, causing them to surpass any limit, is still a question and needs some thought. Still, this is a proposal worth of discussing. I am sure of that. So, I would like to see some comments to that end and hopefully, the admins will take into consideration this article, when they decide for further changes in the game. Thank you for reading.

Kind regards
Darth Mount

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
