America lost a very painful battle in Zemgale last night. Check it out for yourself. Fifteen rounds, 424,221,899 total damage - and we lost by a margin of under 300,000 in the final round. Winning Zemgale would have put Latvia back on the map, and struck into a major part of the Polish Empire. I was around for most of the battle, including those final moments. We in leadership hesitated with three minutes to go, unsure if the Polish would make a full push or not - and they did, and we were a little too late to respond. This loss was hard to swallow. But as frustrating as this defeat was, there is much to rejoice about in the aftermath.
Let's first give credit where credit is due. Enough cannot be said about Latvia, which managed to produce nearly 70 million damage from only 300 citizens! This was a fantastic effort by the Latvians, and their contributions cannot be overstated. The US is more than three times Latvia's size, and still Latvia was more destructive. That's a testament to their hard work, their effort, and their willingness to come up big in a big situation.
Thank you to all of our allies for their contributions, without which we wouldn't have been able to challenge Poland. Thank you to Bulgaria for 29 million, Lithuania for 25 million, Macedonia for 5 million, Romania for 4 million, Portugal for 3 million, and to Brazil, Netherlands, Australia, Serbia, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Indonesia, Taiwan, Finland, and Russia. Special mention goes to Lithuania for contributing so much despite also fighting to get back on the map in Sudovia (and they were victorious!). Honorable mention goes to Indonesia for contributing despite fighting China in Sumatra, and to Russia for contributing despite fighting Poland in Western Russia (and winning! They will soon retake their capital of Moscow because Poland will receive a -20% debuff bonus for being disconnected from its native regions). Italy gets its own special sentence because it must be duly recognized that they are willing to give up their independence now to contribute to defeating Poland. Italy's allies won't forget this awesome gesture.
Thank you to the people at the top who made this a reality. The main vertebrae behind the operation were myself and Liquid HOMICIDE , and let me tell you, without Liquid's veteran leadership and ingenuity we would not have been half as successful as we were in this battle. Liquid is currently a military and defense advisor to the cabinet, but he is of course a former president, and Wikipedia says he actually pondered a name change to "Jesus America". He proved why with his efforts in the last couple days. Major hats off to LordPariah , who dedicated many hours to running Hell on Wheels and keeping America supplied throughout the day. LP is one of the hardest workers in the nation, and his efforts are not unnoticed.
And thank you, of course, to the people of America. You know, we may have suffered a loss this time, but there are so many positives to take out of this battle. We produced 65 million damage - which is unbelievable for a nation of this size that had to mobilize its forces (we didn't have the benefit of fighting from home via MPP). We had several major coordinated strikes in the last two nights, dropping as much as 5-6 million at once. That's really impressive for a country that has rarely engaged in such tactics in the past. All-around communication between the Defense Department, MU leaders, and the American public has never been better or more efficient. Special note to BoB Elite - congratulations on being the top MU of the battle, and on becoming America's leading MU by total damage.
We're not Poland - we don't have three times as many citizens as everyone else. But what we lack in size, we make up for in efficiency, dedication, loyalty, and heart. The fact is, America, we stood toe-to-toe with the world giant until the bitter end, and lost by less than 1% in the final round. Poland has numbers, but we have spunk - we work hard and find ways to succeed. And even though we didn't succeed this time, ohoho, the war has just begun. Success in war won't be measured by single battles, but by consistency and dedication.
What can we do to get over that last hump and become victorious in a major battle like Zemgale? We need EVERYONE in #sim-us.strikes on IRC at all times. The strike channel is very important because that is where we organize coordinated strikes - which are important because they confuse the enemy and allow us to win key rounds in the final minutes and seconds. By hanging out in the strike channel when you haven't yet fought, you can be doing a lot of good for America: our damage is more effective together, not individually dispersed throughout a round. Also, that channel is where Hell on Wheels supplies are given out - but you have to be around for a strike to receive supplies. The government will continue working on ways to inform you of when HoW is open and when to join #sim-us.strikes for coordinated strikes.
Do your part like you did last night, and it won't be long before the Polish empire is toppled.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
