This article is copied from the eUK Handbook for easy access. The stock market might seem daunting to some, especially on first appearance as there is a lot of gold involved. However if you make the right decisions you can come out on top.
A public stock company (PLC from now on) is slightly different to a normal company. The main difference is that citizens can buy shares in the company. They become a shareholder and this gives them a say in how the company (or companies) are ran.
If done right, this revenue stream allows for many people to set up a great empire. However alongside this, the level of competition will rise significantly.
Note I’ll be using ToF as an example but there are 7 PLCs in the UK!
Buying Shares
This is a bit complicated at first so bear with me as it can be quite easy to make a mistake!
Simply click on the PLC you wish to invest in to go to their main page. From here you can see all the information about the company and buy some shares!
On the right you can see who is selling their shares currently. Click on ‘Buy Shares’ then enter the amount and the price at which you want to buy. If there is a matching offer you will instantly buy those shares. If not, then your offer will be put up on the market for others to see.
Under the heading ‘Offered Shares’ you can see who is selling their shares and at what price.
NOTE: THE PRICE IS PER SHARE, NOT THE TOTAL FOR THE AMOUNT OF SHARES OFFERED. IN THE ABOVE EXAMPLE THE TOTAL WOULD BE 44G FOR 11 SHARES.
The amount of shares that you own determines what influence you have in the decision making of the company.
Shareholder Abilities
As a shareholder you have the ability to vote on proposals as well as the option of proposing ‘laws’ for the company to be put up for a vote. These are:
1) Fire the CEO - This costs 0.25G and puts a vote up for the proposal to remove the current CEO.
2) Propose a new CEO - Much like congress can propose a new CP, shareholders can propose a new CEO for the company. If a majority vote passes then the proposed shareholder will become CEO of the company.
CEO Abilities
As a CEO you have the additional options usually offered to a person running a PLC.
1) Issuing shares - The CEO can set the amount of shares to issue as well as the price. This is again put up for a shareholder vote. If passed then the shares are issued at the proposed price. If the CEO wishes to change his mind, another vote will be proposed for all shareholders to vote on.
2) Paying dividend - The main reason that people invest in a PLC is for the dividend pay-out. This is where a company chooses to pay out to it’s investors for their commitment to the company. The CEO chooses the amount per share to be paid out and again it is put up for a vote between shareholders. This can be proposed at any time, although is usually only carried out if a company is doing well.
Setting up your Own Stock Company!
Don't fancy investing in someone else? That’s fine! You don’t have to. Simply go to ‘My Places’ and then ‘Shares’. On this screen you can see all the shares you own as well as what you have put an offer in for.
Form here, you can select to set up your own PLC. This costs 50 Gold including your starting capital to buy companies and issue shares. Now you can start to issue shares and making money!
You start off as the CEO and once others have bought shares you can nominate them into various roles.
Adding Companies to your PLC
Using your starting capital you can add companies to your PLC. There are two methods for doing this.
1) Buying off the Market - You can simply buy a company off the market, just like you would if it was a private company.
2) Donate a Company - If you already own a company that you would like to merge with the PLC you can donate that company using the link below the PLC logo.
Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any other questions
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
