Hello America! I have recently been named Media Director of the North American Republic party! To kick things off, I have decided to have an interview with our founder and current leader EzZEk . My questions are in bold. His answers are in regular type.
What does NAR stand for and what does the name mean? Why was the name chosen?
N.A.R. stands for North American Republic. Republic: No matter how many 'laws' we pass, in the forum, the system of government will always be a 'republic'. North American: At one point in sUSA History we held all of North America. So in honor of that spirit of conquest, I choice it as part of the name. sUSA a republic, former rulers of North America.
What is the main goal for NAR?
To bring sUSA to her former glory, and produce competent elected leaders.
How does NAR hope to achieve its goals?
Perseverance, good planning and proper timing.
What is NAR’s stance on Sigma?
I would have to ask NAR members, but personally; I like Sigma a lot more then Veto. While vetos goals may have been honorable, it was always doomed to fail. You cannot help someone who doesn’t have the true will to help themselves. It's a drain on sUSA, and takes resources away from real threats. Sigma has strong members with proven 'will power', to not only survive, but become great. With that said, I would welcome any country showing signs of strength to our alliance.
What is NAR’s stance on the peg, government loans, and the general economy?
The peg is my least favorite "policy" of the Liquid HOMICIDE Administration. While it does put more currency into the hands of sUSA Citizens, it puts less gold into their hands. The peg also makes our economy look weaker then it really is.
I have always been an advocate of government business loans. (From my first week to now) The loans create a source of income for the government and help sUSA Citizens create/improve their businesses. "A win, win."
A war based economy is only going to flourish in war. To think otherwise is foolish. No one is going to buy your guns if they have no use for them. If businesses cant sell guns, then there is no need for them to buy iron.. etc.. Consumption of e-sim goods only occurs during battles. So the answer to a better is economy is simple, more domestic battles/wars.
What is NAR’s stance on in-game positions vs. meta-game positions? Should they have any correlation at all?
To be honest im not completely sure what your asking, but i'll take a shot at it anyways. NAR has always been pro in-game. Although I think a balance would be best. We shouldn't pass anything meta that doesn’t improve in-game or overly complicates it. All that is really needed (meta wise) is a simple method to organize in-game government and its operations.
What is NAR’s MU? How does it function?
NAR's MU is called W.R.A.T.H. The MU, it self, functions as a self supply at the moment. NAR members may join completely free because it's their Military Unit. The MU is there to help build bonds between NAR members. To give the party leader experience running a "military department" and a willing member experience running the MU itself. (SoD experience) The MU companies can give NAR members (fair paying) employment as well, if they need it.
How can a citizen get involved in the NAR community?
As party leader I need an NAR treasurer and "general"; The treasurer handles the party finances and the general the day to day management of the MU.
There is endless opportunity in NAR. We could host any number of programs for the NAR community and sUSA general public. All a member needs to have is little vision and ambition. If you want to do/start something that i haven't implement, shoot me a PM and we'll get it set up. (Interviewers Note: I can personally vouch on this as this whole Media Director thing and interview was my idea proposed to EzZEk) Decide what you want from your party and make it happen, I promise, I will not hold you back.
We have a forum section in the eusaforums, an IRC channel on rizion and a Military Unit. Plenty of ways to get with each other on any number of things. I can build many roads, but its up to you guys to walk them.
Is there anything you would like to add?
I paid for NAR and WRATH myself. I care deeply about our party, its members and our goals. Can you name ANY other partly leader, equally invested and dedicated to their party? If you want the most you can get from an e-sim party, NAR is your answer.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
Invest, produce and sell - be an entrepreneur in E-Sim.
