A little bit of thematic muzik

Who'd Like a Tall Cool Refreshing Glass of Homicide?

Hey guys, I'm back with another article to discuss something near and dear to my heart. Effective political progress. As evidenced by last congressionals, infighting contributed to quite a bit of congressional cohesion issues, while early this term, certain congress members seemed to want to roleplay, adding layers of metagame laws that have no bearing or basis for existence right here, in game, where it counts.

While congress needs to function as an effective check to executive authority, at the same time, congress should not be kneecapped by dealing with layers of ineffectual bureaucracy in order to do so. Congress needs to be more open with issues that don't contain a sensitive nature, and should be encouraged to do the same kinds of things as Astra Kat G has been. It gives the common players some insight on why our elected officials do the things that they do, while not releasing the more sensitive issues publically, but giving the public a kind of "heads up" on what's being worked on.

Reassurance is never a bad thing, especially in this uncertain "eWorld." So, we come to the crux of the matter. I'm running for congress. I've taken nearly a month off from politics, and I'm ready for a little action once more. While I won't make you a bunch of promises that don't apply to the game itself, I will insure that congress works hard on things that actually benefit you, not useless legislation, procedural chicanery or holding up progress over personal grudges.

I guarantee that each FSU candidate will work hard for the exact same goal, and make this our number one priority, should we be elected.
So, if you see a candidate under the FSU banner, that's our personal stamp of approval, for both quality of character and a no-nonsense approach to bureaucrats wasting congress' and the public's time.

I encourage everyone to vote, even if it's not for an FSU candidate, or myself, for a simple mechanical reason: it gives you free extra XP. ;-)

Used to this in your congress?

International Updates

In recent global news, Spain has released this article. In it, they announced the results of their national referendum, choosing between joining ALPHA, or Sigma. In a landslide victory, their populace voted for Sigma, joining officially. I welcome our Spanish friends, in hopes that they too will feel the same brotherhood that Sweden, USA and the UK already enjoy, along with our little brass-balled buddies in Ireland.

I encourage all unaligned countries, or even aligned countries to seek us out. In former Russian president gimmefive 's article, he trolls Spain for choosing what he terms a "pro-TM" alliance. Instead, I think a better question would be, why is Sigma pro-TM? Probably because ALPHA has always been the aggressor against Sigma nations. Something to chew on. ;-)

I fail to see how Sigma alignment is the fault of Sigma members, when ALPHA and TM both have an equal opportunity to give diplomacy a shot. Sometimes, the answer isn't always: "OCCUPY THAT WHICH I DON'T UNDERSTAND."

Seems to me that the answer is simple common sense, guys. You guys caused the issue with threats on UK, Sweden and occupation of the USA. So, pardon us for being wary about the intentions of ALPHA.

But we did!

The Too Long;didn't read

Item 1: Vote for congress, I'm also running for congress and each FSU member is quality, baby.

Item 2: Spain joins up with Sigma, HURRAY, WELCOME ABOARD, and all the happy go lucky stuff.

Item 3: I reply to a good-natured troll with common sense answers and LAWJICK.

Just remember, throughout all the spam, to do your research before you vote. If someone's too lazy to hop on IRC or join the discussions on the forums, then they're likely too lazy to be an active and willing participant in congress too.

May your paths to success be short and fulfilling.

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
