Greetings fellow Americans! Tonight I would like to announce my run for one of the congressional spots in the United States Congress. Bear with me though as my reason for candidature is kind of long but I feel that it is important to know who the person behind the computer screen the people are voting for!
A little background information about me:
To start things out my name is Khai Van, and I was born on May 23, 1993 in a fairly large city known as Grand Rapids, Michigan to a Vietnamese couple. Yes I know my birthday was yesterday.
[Happy Birthday to me]I know two languages, Vietnamese and English but I predominantly speak more English then Vietnamese but I am also fluent in Vietnamese as well. Since a child, I was always interested in things such as politics as well as anything that involves the Military such as wars/battles, etc. To this day, I truly believe the reason why I am so interested in politics and the military was due to watching Saving Private Ryan back when I was younger as well as war movies such as Platoon and Apocalypse Now. I never truly understood the politics that came with military back when I was younger. But to be frank, now a days I look back at myself to just playing fort with the neighborhood kids with a plastic m-16 rifle that I bought at the local dollar store. To me, that summed up my knowledge of the military back in my childhood.
Fast forward a few years later and the completion of High School, at my current situation; I am a student Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and I am currently studying in the field of pre-med but I also would like to ultimately have a field in history as well. When I am not cramming for exams to learn about politics as well as watch the history channel to get some of my desire for historical knowledge out of the way. Thank god for Summer break .To conclude, I hope that every citizen that reads my article knows the real person behind the computer screen and I hope it can give you guys confidence in voting for a real person with real instincts with a real passion to grow the USA.
Why I feel I am qualified for congress?
In all honesty, being as this is my 26th consecutive day of playing e-Sim, I can't really say that I am all that qualified to be a member of congress in a sense of knowing all the political history of the USA. Don't get me wrong on this by saying so, but when I say that I feel I am not qualified enough yet; what I had meant was who isn't to say some of the previous congressional members weren't qualified but somehow managed to squeeze in as well? I feel though that if I were elected to congress, it would further help me in my ongoing pursuit to know more about e-Sim and to be a better US Citizen knowing that I had some influence on the direction of which the United States was heading towards in the future. What I can promise you though that qualifies me to enter congress is the fact that
A. Activeness
B. Friendly Personality
C. Being Open-Minded and Willing to offer an Ear to the proposals of others
As a result of these facts, I can PROMISE to all E-USA citizens that I will vote only for proposals that I know will help prosper the USA and make them a global powerhouse that we should be in E-Sims.
Ending Statement
I would like to thank everyone for reading my article and the reasons why i believe that i should be a candidate for congress. I know that if I were to be elected that this would be a tremendous task at hand but i know that if the American people elect me as one of the members that I will make it my mission to only vote for Measures and Proposals that benefit the United States. I will FOREVER be grateful to the US Governments in allowing my parents to come over here and start a new life and in turn of them allowing my parents to do so, I was able to be born in the United States and grow up in this great Country. To recap, thanks again guys for allowing me the opportunity to even be a candidate, it means a lot! I hope everyone has a great day as well and always Good Luck on everyone's RL adventures.

About the game:
USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
