It is an early morning on day 242 in e-sim. Less than 24 hours from now we will vote a one of the more important elections in the short history of our small nation. The election will decide many things for our future as a people. We have gone through a tumultuous period as we have been under threat from without and within.
I am writing tonight to ask for your vote in the upcoming Presidential election. I am not going to talk about resumes, history or credentials. I do however want to talk about Ireland's future if I may for a moment.
First though let me recap recent events:
1. Day 224: UK declares war on Ireland. We were preparing for an invasion. International contacts had led us to believe that it was coming very soon. We had built up a supply for Q1 and Q3 weapons as well as several Q3 Defense Systems. We were ready to make it a tough fight for the UK as we signed MPP's with Switzerland, Canada and Slovenia while the UK was unable to launch an attack until they had impeached two presidents before electing CBall.
2. Day 226: UK attacks Midlands. We were without a President but still ready for the fight. During the first 4 rounds we were holding our own against superior forces when the other shoe dropped- Portugal declared war. Portugal has long desired our high iron region but due to struggles with containing Spain we thought no attack would come. Once it was recognized that Portugal was going to come at us no matter what it was decided that we did not want Ireland to go the direction of the US or Canada in terms of occupation but instead signed a controversial rental agreement with the UK to keep us from getting wiped.
3. Day 232: With the rental agreement and regions swaps/resistance wars we kept Ireland mostly intact. This day heralded the April congressional elections were 6-7 elected congressmen were known multi's/PTO'ers, two of whom have not been active since the elections. This active PTO attempt comprised 29% of the total votes cast.
4. Day 235: Working in participation with Spain we successfully RW'ed Cork back from the Portuguese and kicked them out of Ireland.
5. Day 237: Coordinating battles with Spain again President Rafor gave the order to attack the Azores, Portugal's High Diamond Region and the 19th most valuable territory in this game. At first we looked at this as a damage drain to help Spain take their regions back but as the battles developed Spain shifted their entire force to the Azores and caught the Portuguese off guard helping Ireland take her first major victory in any battle ever.
So for anyone who was asleep or AWOL that's your history lesson!
Moving Forward:
So against the odds we are surviving two wars and an active PTO attempt, that is a credit to our dedicated citizens and our activity level. Let's look at what we need to do.
1. Retain the Presidency: We need to come together and speak out against the PTO with our votes and elect a President who is fully committed to Ireland and it's people.
I promise that if elected President Ireland will stay free and it's resources will be managed properly.
2. Foreign Affairs: For too long Ireland has stayed on the sidelines. Initially many thought that neutrality would allow us to stay out of war and away from occupation/colonization. It served us well for awhile but as the major players looked for more resources in it was only a matter of time before war cam to us. Now we need to get committed to an alliance and to allies. If we want to succeed in eventually regaining our regions/resources we must forge strong friendships by defending our allies.
I promise that if elected we will join an alliance this term. It will be by vote of congress and of the voice of the people.
3. Create a Master Plan: With the Presidency intact and position within a stable alliance secured we must look to our future. Ireland has been plagued by inactivity and lack of direction. This must change. A master plan directs everyone in the government how to do their jobs regardless of what a president or specific minister within the government does. clear, identifiable and measurable goals must be set.All military, foreign affairs, finance and community goals we be set for the next few months. This plan will involve every citizen who wishes to participate at whatever level of commitment they are comfortable with.
If elected President I will create a 90 day plan that will grow and strengthen Ireland as a fighting force, a population and a Free, Independent Ireland.
Make sure to vote for freedom tomorrow. A vote for me is a vote for our future!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
