This is my first address to our beloved nation and I would first like to thank all the congress members who supported me in my campaign.
To get started, I would like to remind and encourage Australians to promote e-sim to friends and family. Try posting it on Facebook, game forums etc to create a bit of a baby boom, I have linked it on my Facebook. Just anywhere you think you could attract people would be ideal.
It’s good to see IRC is being used more now; however there are still a large number of players and congress who don’t use IRC and I would like to encourage them to come hang out, and have their say to.
The forums have undergone some theme changes thanks to Diablo101, they are looking a lot better now; I would like to also encourage those who aren’t registered, to sign up, and to use the forums for any queries or suggestions they might have.
After spending my first 2 days trying to dig up all the organisation passwords from past governments, I finally managed to talk to Railmann to reset the passwords and received them Sunday morning AEST.
With this, the MoE led by Roxiux has published its first article, a comprehensive guide to help new players learn the ins and outs of the game. I would like to thank Roxiux for personally putting his hand up and contacting me to fulfil this role, and thank him for the job well done. Please Vote and Subscribe. The article can be found here; http://e-sim.org/article.html?id=25781
As many of you many know, those who were in IRC, there was a bit of an disagreement between fellow congressmen regarding past medal gold donations, its enforcement, and people who didn’t follow the past government requirement to pay this amount.
After some consideration, and due to lack of time before congress elections to post this in the forums as well, Veldrin and I have decided on our policy on this matter during my term as CP.
Together we have decided that unlike past governments, donations from congress medal are optional, in part because we can’t enforce it, and those who don’t donate lose some influence in the decision making process when things are on forums etc. So should congressmen decide to donate, please donate straight to treasury to avoid any confusion like in the past.
The Department of Defence has been given a measure of autonomy and has provided the following statement, "We are currently working to strengthen bonds and friendship with our allies in VETO to ensure mutual assistance when required. We are also building up opportunities for new companies and new and efficient supply systems to strengthen our armed forces and the defence of our country." – DoD
Australian Org has also undergone a few changes; these include scrapping the wages for supplies deals. Going forward any wage from Australian Org will be market based.
We are also investing in a Q1 Iron Mine in Victoria and relocating Q1 guns to Victoria (don’t want to operate in Argentina with the value of our dollar). The majority of these guns will be sold on #strade to provide gold income which can be used to invest in other projects, such as supplies for MoE to help out new players who just start playing the game (i.e. less than 500 str), as well as pay for DoD supplies during wartime. I plan to keep a percentage of gold in reserve in case of a rainy day when we need it as well as for MPPs.
What I wish to be able to do before my term is up is to have Australian Org making a positive turnover, rather than relying too heavily on the treasury donations to cover its debts. This of course will take time, won’t happen overnight.
Thank you all for your time reading this, and on that note, please fill free to contact me should you have any questions.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
