La secretaria del Medio Ambiente del Gobierno capitalino, Martha Delgado Peralta, informó que en esta ocasión se incentivará la participación ciudadana para que colabore en acciones de ahorro de energía y se sume a la iniciativa.
En ese sentido, indicó que el evento oficial que se realizará en el Monumento a la Revolución se apagarán las luces de las 20:30 a las 21:30 horas, y como forma de estimular la participación de los ciudadanos, se plantarán 100 árboles por cada persona que asista.
La capital del país participará en este evento por cuarto año consecutivo, y en esta edición los primeros mil ciclistas que arriben al lugar del acto que encabezará el jefe de Gobierno, Marcelo Ebrard, recibirán una planta de regalo.
Además del Distrito Federal, ciudades como Cancún, Guadalajara, La Paz, Huatulco, Durango y Chihuahua se unen a la causa ecologista.
El apagado simbólico de las luces busca hacer conciencia sobre el vínculo entre las prácticas cotidianas en el uso de energía y los impactos en la salud del planeta: en México 60% de los gases de efecto invernadero provienen de la generación de energía (incluyendo al transporte) a partir del uso de combustibles fósiles como carbón, gas o petróleo.
A través de la plataforma digital “Reta al mundo. Salva el planeta”, la campaña invita a que cada quien plantee y comparta un reto personal preguntando a través de Facebook, Twitter y el correo electrónico: ¿Qué estás dispuesto a hacer para salvar el planeta?
La Hora del Planeta inició en Australia en 2007 y es una campaña global del Fondo Mundial para la Naturaleza (WWF, en inglés). Desde el referido año, se ha convertido en el evento ambiental más grande del mundo.

Llega el Horario de Verano
Hora de cambiar la hora. Mañana entra en vigor el Horario de Verano en la República Mexicana, salvo en 33 municipios de la franja fronteriza Norte, que adoptaron el horario estacional tres semanas antes. Esta medida consiste en adelantar una hora el reloj durante la parte del año en que se registra mayor insolación, a fin de reducir el consumo de energía eléctrica, ya que la aplicación del horario estacional reduce, diariamente, una hora la demanda máxima de electricidad. Se recomienda a todas las personas que hoy, antes de irse a dormir, adelanten una hora los relojes.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
