Hello, this is my first article on e-Sim, but some people might remember me from eRepublik, you may also remember me being a really cool guy
Okay, so, I joined on Day 1 but them decided it was crap, not because of the content, but rather because it took donkeys years to load. However, it seems that is no longer a problem, for the most part.
I do like how the admin isn't a thief like the ones on eRepublik, in fact, I don't even know if you can buy gold or not. I also like how the admins keeps us all updated and posts something new almost everyday which is brilliant.
In many ways this is far better than eRepublik. For example, local currency is actually worth something, it lists the top 3 battle heroes on both sides and which country they are from and not only this, it also shows each country's damage in a particular battle
The health system is also very nice. I also like how there are no ways for the rich players to get the upper hand by training boosters or buying their health to create a one man army, so in other words, you feel like you actually make a difference in wars.
I think the economic skill is something eRep should have kept, but I also like to see that there is only one skill whereas on other games there are 3-4 skills and you might feel pretty annoyed if you've picked the wrong skill, so having just one skill makes things a little less complicated.
The homepage gives everyone all the info they need on an average e-Sim day however, it looks a tad messy, perhaps a change in font and rounder edges or something to make it look nicer would really do good, or perhaps a customisable homepage so everything is where you want it.
The shout system is also pretty smexy as you don't need to add friends to see shouts like on eRep, this shout system you can interact with people from your country instead, this works well for getting jobs and coordinating attacks, however, sometimes people double-post by accident, myself included :p so I think there should be like a 10 second gap before you post again to prevent double or triple posting.
The game is different almost every day thanks to the admins actually caring about us (unlike on eRep) and the game is always developing which is awesome. And if the admins sees this he could add some of my suggestions because now I'm going to list the things that could be a tad better.
For one, the map is very...how should I put it...liney. It's not got very accurate borders, instead it's just a series of lines. I do like how all countries are created pretty much equal with only six regions, however, I can't help but feel as if larger countries like Brazil, Russia, Canada and the US need a few more, but if you are to add more regions, it'd be best to keep them resourceless so each country is still equal.
Also, in some cases six regions may be too much, say if you were to add Singapore, six would be way too much, so perhaps the minimum regions for smaller countries should be three. two resource regions and the capital to keep things fair.
I also dislike how production reduces when you have more workers, this means everyday, you get fired because managers want 100% production, which is fine I suppose but it can be quite annoying getting a whole new job everyday, and perhaps new players might think "WTF I just got fired again, this game sucks! *sadface*" I like the idea of it, it's to stop huge companies, so I suggest only reduce productivity of workers if say the company has over 10 employees. This would keep companies small and manageable and allow smaller companies to compete.
The lack of countries for me is not a problem at this stage as we're only like 2 weeks through but after about 2-3 months people will be expecting more countries to be added so there is a heads up
Thanks to anyone who decided to read this article and I hope everyone has had a nice weekend.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
