El presidente mexicano Felipe Calderón destruyó 100 mil armamentos decomisados y lanzó la campaña “¡No más armas!” que exige acabar con el contrabando de EE. UU., donde siguen investigando la escandalosa operación ‘Rápido y Furioso’.
Un letrero con dicha consigna fue colocado en la frontera con Estados Unidos, a manera de protesta por el flujo ilegal de armas desde su vecino del norte y que terminan en manos de narcotraficantes y otos criminales mexicanos y con ellas continúan la sangrienta guerra contra las autoridads que ya ha dejado miles de muertos en los últimos seis años.
Intereses al otro lado de la frontera
“México necesita su ayuda”, le dijo Calderón al presidente Barack Obama y al Congreso, tras colocar el letrero. El mandatario mexicano lamentó que “los fuertes intereses” de la industria armamentista de EE. UU. prevalezcan en el Congreso estadounidense.
Tales intereses, dijo el presidente, impiden prohibir la venta de armas de asalto y alto poder de uso exclusivo del Ejército y así los delincuentes no dudan usarlas “contra civiles desarmados e inocentes”.
Injusticia y vías de salida
“Es totalmente injusto y ofensivo” que la guerra que libran los narcotraficantes beneficie a la industria estadounidense y se cobre las vidas de civiles, destacó Calderón.
Para cesar la violencia, el presidente mexicano exhortó a las autoridades estadounidense a reanudar las discusiones de la Ley antiarmas (Assault Weapons Ban), que fue cancelada en el 2004 y que según él, podría cesar el “inhumano tráfico de armas” a México.
Luego de la colocación del letrero hecho de rifles reciclados, Calderón encabezó la destrucción de armas decomisadas a la delincuencia organizada en Ciudad Juárez, una de las urbes donde se registran los más violentes enfrentamientos del país. Unas 100.000 armas de todos tipos, junto con cartuchos y cargadores fueron aplastados y destruidos.
Las autoridades estiman que desde el 2006, cuando Calderón empezó una 'guerra' sin precedentes contra la delincuencia, los enfrentamientos con narcotraficantes han dejado al menos 47.000 muertos.
Mientras EE. UU. se enfoca principalmente en una posible guerra con Irán (otro lucro potencial para sus vendedores de armas) detiene cualquier avance de la solicitud mexicana. A principios de febrero pasado, el Congreso estadounidense otra vez se quedó sin las respuestas del Procurador General de Justicia, Eric Holder, sobre los detalles e involucrados del operativo ‘Rápido y Furioso’.
Bajo esta operación encubierta se permitió el trasiego ilegal de dos mil armas a México en el 2009 con el objetivo de rastrear a bandas de narcotraficantes. Sin embargo, su resultado fue precisamente el opuesto y acabó con una escalada de violencia, según un informe presentado en el mismo Congreso.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
