GENERAL BETANCOURT : Well, my first contact with e-sim was in Suna. That was when I saw the game in advertising for the first time. I register in suna 4 years ago. In that time i didn't play much, I made a SC, and I left after my first 8 months in game. Then I kept watching advertising and i joined back to e-sim when I saw America server. I wasn't going to play primera, but Lord Werther convinced me to do so, and join Italy.
eyxUhHilrdMWs4xK9urS4_XbN7 : Could you tell us a little bit about you? (I mean the real life you

GENERAL BETANCOURT : Well, my real name is Christian and I am 17 years old. I study chemistry at high school. My real life country is Argentina.
eyxUhHilrdMWs4xK9urS4_XbN7 : From where did your nick came?
GENERAL BETANCOURT : I used many nicks, but mainly I am known as Betancourt. Betancourt is my grandmother's surname, and my first nick in Primera used to be xXBetancourtXx, just like Lord Werther used to name himself (his nick was xXLambXx). I got tired of that nick, and I just BETANCOURT was kind of boring, so I decided to add something related to the military.

GENERAL BETANCOURT : Well, as I said, Lord Werther invited me, and I also have many italian friends from temp servers like ilpazzo, ggggg, green, etc. (barcity became my friend after). I had been in other countries apart from Italy, but I returned to Italy a long time ago, and I plan to stay, I consider it my home country as my relationship with argentinians is not good in general.
eyxUhHilrdMWs4xK9urS4_XbN7 : You said that your relationship with your native country is not good in general. Can you tell more about it?
GENERAL BETANCOURT : Well, it's bad with natives of Primera server, they decided to have a bad relationship with me. I had been good at them, but in the past they were not. Specially when I was president of Argentina, they divided the country, and they did a lot of [CENSORED] during my presidency to make it fail. Plus they said that I was a thief before I become president, which was false. I left argentina org with 3 times more gold than when I received, and giving free supply from the Ministery of Defense. After my presidency, I left the country, and they took power back, they have been a disaster, the org was so poor, almost all argentinian players end up grey for the lack of a government's program to keep people active.
It's really a very complicated relationship, mainly with 3 people there, that's all. But they managed to brainwash everyone with their false patriotism. I don't want to generalize, but in that moment it was like that
Some months ago the relationship improved, but now it got worse again beacuse they attacked italian territory, and I defended Italy. I don't fight against argentina, but if they attack Italy, they leave me no choice (what did they expect me to do???). The first time Bangladesh attacked Argentina I defended them, but in the second time I already stay neutral. Argentina is no longer a country, it's just a PTO

GENERAL BETANCOURT : Well, I had been President of Argentina 6 times in this server, also president of Canada when it was still a big power in american continent, and now President of Italy. In other servers I was also president of argentina, and other PTO that doesn't count much. I think that if I sum up all servers I played, I had been president 30 times more or less.

GENERAL BETANCOURT : Yes, it is. Green is generally our President, but I requested to run this month as I am going to be active.
eyxUhHilrdMWs4xK9urS4_XbN7 : Why and how did you became president in Italy? Who helped you?
GENERAL BETANCOURT : Well, Italy is the most strict country that I had ever been in. It's not easy to become President, the standards are high, and you need years of work to earn italian's trust. There's 3 people whom I am more thankful with, one of them is Lord Werther, that teached me the basics and invited me here in the first place, secondly Green Lightning. That's because when I wanted to join for the second time to Italy, he was the only one who gave me a second chance, and let me join titani after leaving them a year before. And in third place, immortali has been very important to me, he was my main support to get me into more relevant positions in the government.

GENERAL BETANCOURT : Well, it does matter, bcs like I said, there are very strict and high standars to get a chance to become president, but it's true that CP never makes decisions alone.

GENERAL BETANCOURT : I don't think they consider me a foreigner, I had been with them for a long time, and I made efforts to integrate to their community. For example, I learnt italian, among other things. To be honest, most people don't even know that I am argentinian real life in the game. I had been with italian citizenship for a long time.

GENERAL BETANCOURT : Well, I already left one permanent server, and that's secura. I haven't thought about seriously leaving, but I am well aware of the time that e-Sim demands me. Time will say. I guess that I am going to stay for now.

GENERAL BETANCOURT : My motivation is my friends.
eyxUhHilrdMWs4xK9urS4_XbN7 : What is your favourite part of the game?
GENERAL BETANCOURT : I like economics, but it turns repetitive, I think there's potential that admin should exploit there. The only part that is never repetitive is politics, plus there are always new challenges to face.

GENERAL BETANCOURT : Frankly, I had been lucky, I have tons of friends in e-sim, and great people that I know that I can count in, so apart from the italian community that I already mention,

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
