On October 2nd, we were all shocked, confused and slightly displeased when ArchDukeJohn threw his hat into the ring to be President. We were all pretty content with Tulip's moderate, un-idealogical leadership. Nobody thought he could preform well in an interview. Nobody thought ArchDukeJohn stood any chance. They were half right. He certainly made me doubt all of my views when I interviewed him, however it wasn't enough to win. Tulip won by an 11 vote margin. So, what now? Do we all forget about it and move on with our lives? Sadly, that's now impossible. When John stood to be President he opened a Pandora's Box that Right-Wingers and Centrists are now going to struggle to close.
ArchDukeJohn has been inactive for a while, and when he went, Socialism went with him. I still continued to support Socialist values, but at the same time there was for me to challenge the consensus of Centrism. Law7441, I believe, is the furthest right figure in Politics, but by the end of his Presidency, even he'd accepted centrist ideas, with taxes at a balanced level. Socialists existed by in small, and quiet numbers. TPP called itself Socialist, but had all but accepted Centrism, with Tulip, having lost enough elections to a Centrist to realise that that was the way to win, still leading the Party. When Tulip came to power in July, the public's choice was between the long-serving right wing President, adopting Centrist principles, who had led Britain during its occupation by Ireland (not that it was Law's fault, it was just an unfortunate association) and the Centrist Tulip, who people believed could free Britain. Socialism didn't figure anywhere. When I began to lead TPP, I began to pull it closer to my position, over on the Left, but without any strong Socialist feeling even within the Party, it couldn't go far.
The big legacy of ArchDukeJohn's defeat, is not only resurrecting Socialism, but reinvigorating it too. Last night Socialism proved it can win votes. During the campaign John proposed radical and exciting Policies, never dreamed possible. I didn't dare stray too far from the Political centre within my own party for fear of losing popularity, but over the last few days, John's Presidential bid has given a message to all Socialists: Don't be afraid to be radical. Why didn't John win? Because, frankly, some of his policies were ill-thought, damaging and plain stupid. 50GBP for all citizens, especially with an ever fluctuating and changing population, would tear 85% of our national treasury. The minimum wage was a good idea, but there were plenty of holes that weren't thought about, and his proposed Chancellor, Dannydan, was contradicting both John and himself.
So what is the problem for Tulip and his Centrist supporters caused by ArchDukeJohn's bid? Socialism is back. Policies that had never been considered or talked about were brought into general Political debate. A genuine alternative to status-quo centrist policies was put forward. Yes, it was defeated, but John provided a starting point to Neo-Socialism. Socialists, who before yesterday would not even consider talking about minimum-wages can now develop his proposals to make them workable, achievable and electable. Socialism is now back in the public-forum and this time it's not going anywhere. That's John's legacy.

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
