This past year in e-Sim has been the most inactive yet for me. Still, i think a year in this game is such a giant period of time that it should be looked upon as - perhaps - a jubilee in real life. So, the day has come and i thought i'd take a tour of nostalgia. You never know whether it's your last chance to do so.

I joined on day 369, after Phobas had invited me from another game. It was a few days after my home country (Estonia) was added and so i saw great opportunities in this. I've always loved to build and innovate and i'd searched for a game like this a long time before it finally came up. The game seemed horrible to me at first (thank god for what developers have done since then) but tomyk12 who was the president back then, convinced me to stay. In a week after joining i was in the government and in less than a month i was the President. Two things i really take pride of in e-Sim are that i helped to build up my home country in this game (with a great team: puruluks , atixs , Lithuanians that helped us at the beginning, you are still the Best) and my interviews.....

I'd been in politics for many months and running the country either from the government or CP seat most of the time. We had made great achievements together, i personally made relationships that last to the day, it was a really good time. But politics in a new, small and unstable country are also really stressful and after a lot of inner fights with people trying to PTO i decided that a new generation can take over and i should pull back. I've never gone back to the game politics since. However, i needed a new goal in game and i'd been interested in journalism from the start. I'd written a couple of global articles but most of what i wrote were for Estonians, from a president to his people. I wanted more and i realized that there was two main things missing from e-Sim journalism: there wasn't enough articles on how to improve the game and no one really gave any public respect to the most active and ambitious players. Their stories and history weren't told. I started to write interviews and suggestional articles. Step by step, people started to follow them and here we are today.

The point of it is, everything can be done and everything that's been done can be repeated, so have a little faith in the game. For me the game has pretty much depleted itself and the good ol' times of e-sim are in the past but for you (unless you're an oldie like me ofc, in which case you're screwed ) they can be right now. This game has so much to offer and i don't see the point of just 2-clicking it, if you haven't already played it through. I mean, if you have been 2-clicking it from the start and never played it, then what's the point of even spending your few minutes every day on clickin'? None, i say. What keeps me here is the nostalgia and You, the readers. That's all i need.

Can we be sure that this game even exists in a year? No, we can't. Can i be sure that i'm still active in this game in a year? No, i can't. Let's hope for the best though... and keep on playing.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
