(edit: Soundtrack )
(edit 2: I realized that I wrote 2click instead of quitting in the article, I wil - as the title states - quit, and not play the game anymore)
(if you don't like reading, you can read this first segment before the first comic, and then the last segment before and after the last gif)

Hello again, I am sorry to say that this will be the last article I write for a long time. I will not continue with the Population of eSim articles, and I will go back to 2-clicking again (2 clicking = logging in once a month) I haven't written any articles before when I have gone inactive, but I thought that I should tell you people what and why I will stop.

There are many reasons for this decision, but mostly it is because I feel like this is not worth the time I put into it. Sure, it is fun to see the data and do the stats and stuff (I love stats), but this is the only reason why I still play this game. And I realized that I don't want to keep doing it. I have however enjoyed doing this, but I also need to focus more on homework and school, and the hours put into collecting the data and writing the articles, uploading the photos and things like that are too many.

I have played this game since day 157, which soon will be four years. In that time I feel like I have done most things. I have owned a SC, I have been president, I have made lots of damage in some battles (according to my standards ) and I have had this newspaper. There is not much more to do, and frankly, I'm glad there isn't.

Did you think that I would not write any stats in this article? Wroong, I have some thoughts that I feel like I really need to get out. Kind of like an final analysis on the game. All of the time I see people complaining about admin and the devs, and about half of the time I agree with the people complaining. But then there are times as when they are complaining about the game dying, and that the BBs are a waste of money. (I said that actually) But here's what you should think about. If you look at the population changes of all of the countries in this game (click here: 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 )

You will see times when the population has increased drastically. If after day 1055 it is most likely because of the money spent on the ingame fundraisings for Baby Booms. However the population immediately goes down again. Why is this? Is it because of admin/devs not getting the right persons into the game? They are clearly not failing with the advertising since people are in fact joining. This is the problem: people aren't staying. Now everyone could speculate wildly (and many has actually) about why this is. But this is what I think; most of these countries don't have a specific system to get newbies incorporated into the game, and has no way to help these players along. However, Sweden does have a system like this, but it does not seem to be enough. In Sweden new players can go onto IRC and ask for their daily food and gifts, which gives the players a bigger chance of staying, since IRC is a big reason to stay in the game. If I had not gone on to IRC I would not be playing this game today. This is not enough however.

What I am trying to say here is that you can't just blame admin and the devs for players not staying (even though that is a part of the problem), the question you need to be asking is "What can we do to make people stay". If you have spent tons of money on a fundraising to get more players, you can't just sit around and hope that they stay. You need to get them onto IRC. Because without IRC this game would have been dead a long time ago.

In all the goodbye articles I have seen, the player is mentioning a few guys, however, I won't do that because there are too many names. Instead I'll say this: If I have had a nice conversation with you, and not yelled at you (sorry for yelling at you guys in #e-sim.primera.support on irc like twenty different times :c ), chances are high that you would have been mentioned.

A special thank you to my subscribers (that are very fast at voting, I broke my personal time-to-global- record twice during the 'everything' series. (my new record is five minutes (although the votes I needed for that was only 15, sooooo, yeaahhh..) ) and thanks to everyone else as well

I will not be saying thanks to the guys on IRC, since I will stay there (I have now joined the majority of people on the swedish channel that does not play the game anymore :p ).

Thanks for reading, and I will see you in the next game.

Oh, and I almost forgot to say, I will be donating 1000 q5 gifts to the Swedish Newbie Boost.

(edit: other stuff I have will be given away to random guys that are new and active)

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
