mrmariokartguy here. First article of a couple on anime and the such. For starters, let's go with the current anime season. Summer 2015 has quite a few shows that are interesting, and another handful that aren't so much. Here's my take on the best shows of this season! Second seasons and shows carrying over from the previous season are not included.
Gangsta.
Genres: Action, Drama, Seinen
It's a show you mustn't judge by its cover. Our main characters is a battle experienced pair who are basically the enforcers of the city they are in. It's pretty much your stereotypical slum. We get to watch these two taking on odd jobs at the request of the townspeople, occasionally on the request of the local police chief. The two work to fight off anyone who breaks the peace of this slum, and we get to enjoy the adventure these two fight through in the shady alleys of the town.
Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri
Genres: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Military
My favorite along with Shirayukihime. It's your fantasy world show for the season. We got this guy from the JSDF who gets involved in an attack by an army from another world. He becomes the hero by literally kicking the snot out of dragons in the middle of Tokyo and escorting civilians into safety. He's sent into the fantasy world as a part of an invasion group, and he's placed as the head of the scouting group. His team go on to encounter villagers from this world. There's a good share of fighting, as well as good looking girls. It's fascinating to see how a Japanese otaku interacts with a fantasy world that they have never seen before, while dealing with a hostile enemy empire.
Akagami no Shirayuki-hime
Genres: Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Romance, Shoujo
My other favorite show of the season. I really didn't expect much of this show, having not heard of it until the day of airing. However, I was immediately pulled into the show. It initially starts off similar to the Snow White stories from the kids books. Shirayuki is a herbalist from a city where an idiot prince lusts over her for her looks. We then get the poison apple out of the way in the first episode, where the good prince kicks the turd out of the idiot prince. The storytelling in this show is great, and Shirayuki is a great character. She's a tough girl who can fight her own way out of situations, using ingenious methods with her knowledge. This show is split-cour, with the second part coming in 2016.
Aoharu x Kikanjuu
Genres: Action, Comedy, Shounen
Similar to Sabagebu! and Stella Jogakuin Koutou-ka C³-bu, this show is about airsoft games. The main character has quite a bit of athletic ability and a sense of justice, and is forcefully dragged into airsoft by his eccentric neighbor after going into debt. Oh, our main character only looks and dresses like a guy. Hotaru is female. This show contains quite a bit of comedy but also contains its fair share of action.
Charlotte
Genres: School, Super Power
The newest show by Key, you expect this to be good. It's by P.A. Works instead of KyoAni though, but they too have their fair share of good shows as well so no need to fear. The main character is a Lelouch lookalike, and initially his personality is comparable too. The focus of this show is the powers that some high school kids develop. Teenage kids being teenage kids, powers are to be abused. However, best girl Nao Tomori catches not-Lelouch red handed and takes him into a school where kids with powers are safe. Safe from what? That's for you to find out. As with all Key shows, a sad ending is inevitable. Also, the imouto is second best girl. Both best girl and imouto are fantastic.

Fail of the Season: Chaos Dragon
Don't even bother with this show. It's terrible. People are killed for the sake of death. There's a good looking fox girl , but that's it.

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
