Today Britain goes to the Polls in a close Presidential election, in which either law7441 or Tulip Farella are going to become President of the UK. This morning, as part of our Election Day coverage here at The SDT, I interviewed President and Presidential Candidate law7441 about a range of issues including Irish occupation and the low population:

aidanj99 (AJ): Hello Mr President.

law7441 (L): Hi.

AJ: How, exactly, are you going to take back the UK?

L: At the moment, working with other government and trying get them to help the UK in getting free, which is something we had some success in the past week with both Sweden and Latvia helping us out - we just need to build on that more.

AJ: Does that involve MPPs?

L: At the moment, no. For one simple reason: MPPs are worthless when we're occupied by someone. It means we spend 10 gold on something that doesn't help the UK one bit.

AJ: So, are you saying that Tulip's key election promise won't work?

L: Well getting allies, will work without MPPs and doing it when occupied would waste gold for UK. After we're free getting MPPs are something we need so allies can help more easily. That's why Peru and other MPPs were rejected in the past few months.

AJ: So, if not via MPPs, how are you going to get other countries to commit to helping a small band of freedom fighters on a small Island in the North Sea?

L: Well, keep slowly building relationships with other countries, like what happened with both Sweden and Lativa, try build and on those relationships, and get free from Ireland. When against strongest alliance in game it's difficult for even a large country, for a small country like the UK it will take time and patience.

AJ: And you think you're the best person to lead that?

L: Honestly, I do, no matter if I win or lose I will still be trying to get UK free.

AJ: How serious do you believe the issue of a low population is?

L: It has been a serious issue for a long time on Primea server, and every single country is pretty much in the same boat. The best thing we can do is just to keep trying our best with what we've got.

AJ: Is it a serious problem for Poland with 742 citizens? I'd say they're doing pretty well population wise.

L: Well they had recent babyboom and it soon went back down. 6 months ago Poland had over 900 citizens and China was at 800+ at that time too, but now China is down to 446.

AJ: What do you THINK is the main cause of that population drop and what can be done, both to stop that drop and to raise the UK's population?

L: There are a few reasons why. Admins keep opening more servers, and more people move over to them, because think they can do better by starting at the beginning of a new world.

AJ: And how can you stop people going over to new servers?

L: Well, there's not much that you can do to stop that. Admins mainly need to do something pretty major or the Primera Population will slow die off

AJ: And any ideas what they could do stop it?

L: Server Merge idea is something I, personally, support. A fair few do as well, some don't.

AJ: What would, you say, is the best thing that you have done as President up until this point, and if re-elected, what will be your flagship policy, other than the one related to Foreign Relations and occupation?

L: It was a while ago now, but getting the UK free from Lithuania back in the day, that was some time ago. Recently, keeping UK with plenty of gold and making sure when time was right, we has enough to fund a pretty good war.

AJ: And if you're re-elected, what will be a key policy or law for you, besides Foreign policy and Irish occupation?

L: Policy mainly keep building relationships with foreign governments, make sure not to waste gold, as for a country like the UK, having finance in check, always needs to be on the president's mind. Bankruptcy will get us nowhere fast

AJ: Let's say for a moment that you lose the election - what next for you and your party?

L: I'd offer the new president if they need help with a cabinet position or just as an adviser.

AJ: Would you stand for President again in the future? And would you continue to lead Rise of UK?

L: Standing for president again, more likely than not, yes I will. As for Rise of the UK, that job was handed to me only because I am the top xp guy there. It is simply because of game mechanics; nothing more.

AJ: If Tulip became President, would you, and presumably Rise of UK as well, block Tulip's attempts to introduce Mutual Protection Pacts?

L: Well, when under the occupation of someone else, personally I would block MPPs, mainly because until we get free regions it's just wasting the country's gold, but if we were free, I would not get in the way of signing them.

AJ: And would you work with other right wing and patriot and nationalist Parties to achieve that aim?

L: I would not go that far. I'd put my 2 cent in on the shout page and let other congressman make up there own minds.

AJ: And finally, what do you stand for as a person and candidate, ideologically and principally speaking? I ask so that my readers can understand you as a candidate as well as your Policies.

L: To be honest and get on with what I am doing. I believe everyone has the right to speak their mind, as long not insulting anyone. etc. Also try to listen to anyone with ideas to help the UK get to a better place

AJ: And what do you believe ideologically i.e. socialism, capitalism, nationalism, communism, ect. or do you not believe in any ideology?

L: No, I don't believe in any one ideology.

AJ: President Law, thank you very much. Good luck in the election.

L: No problem and thank you.

Poll will be published this evening and this newspaper's support with be publish exactly an hour from now!

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
