Britain is currently gripped by the Presidential election campaign, in which law7441 and Tulip Farella are battling to become President of the UK and end Irish occupation. This afternoon, as part of our Election coverage here at The SDT, I interviewed Leader of the People's Party and Presidential Candidate Tulip Farella about a range of issues including Irish occupation, the economy and the low population:

aidanj99 (AJ): Good afternoon.

Tulip Farella (TF): Good afternoon

AJ: How, exactly, are you going to take back Britain?

TF: By establishing a foreign policy, talking to people and signing MPP's, ( mutual protection pacts).

AJ: How can you keep your promise of Mutual Protection Pacts when Britain is nothing more than a bunch of landless freedom-fighters right now? Are any other countries actually going to WANT an MPP with us?

TF: Yes, two so far Lithuania and Peru.
There should be more to come once people reply to my messages.

AJ: The last law proposed to congress was on an MPP with Peru. That proposal was defeat 5-1. You voted against that Protection Pact. You now propose a pact with the very same country that you previously voted against an MPP with. With that recent record on MPPs how can anyone trust you on that issue?

TF: It was up twice; first time i voted for it, second time Law said to vote no so i reluctantly did so because at that point there was only one yes vote.

AJ: Ok, so if you are elected, how do you expect to get your MPP proposals through congress with no one party holding a majority, but with most congressmen being from nationalist parties who have a history of voting against MPP proposals and are all opposed to your party? Surely they'll block you at every turn?

TF: That won't happen. Its in everyone's interest to do whats right for the UK because we are all British citizens.
It would be self defeating to cause problems.

AJ: But they have a history of doing it. Without a congressional majority, how can you be certain that the votes will go the way you want and need them to?

TF: I trust people to do the right thing. But i don't think anyone would sabotage a genuine effort to bolster foreign relations/MPP's.
IF that was the case, then the person concerned should be expelled from UK citizenship.

AJ: Britain is currently 32nd out 59 in the world for population with just 59 people. How serious a problem do you think the low population is and is there anything that we can actually do about it?

TF: Get people to recruit friends and players from other games.

AJ: But are there any ways that we can attract players who are in the game already to change citizenship? And in your view how serious is the issue of our low population?

TF: You can't get people to change citizenship, then it wouldn't be E-Sim. The point is to be in your country and work, train etc.
How serious a low population is; is how active those 59 people actually are, we do have a good player base, people do come to IRC in tournament days.

AJ: Well, you can always apply to become a citizen of another country, but that's beside the point. How would you improve the state of the economy and build up gold supplies?

TF: Once we're back to British pounds everyone can hire again. At the moment you can't advertise jobs, or sell on market, because its the occupiers currency.

AJ: Why haven't you stood for President since July 2014?

TF: Because i didn't see any need to. Things are different now, we have been occupied for a while, and its not that Law isn't doing anything, i think its just that hes been president for so long, and a lot of the time unopposed hes become complacent.
Just need a fresh approach.

AJ: And may I ask, what do you, as a person and party leader, stand for, ideologically and principally speaking?

TF: Good manners, good morals and to always do the right thing.

AJ: and what do you consider good morals? Sorry, I'm just trying to get to the crux of you as a leader and a person so that my readers can understand you as well your policies.

TF: Well, its about good manners: don't push someone under a tube-train because they stood on your foot.
Its about good morals: don't push your mum down the stairs for an inheritance. (Or fiddle with the gas stove and ask her to bake you a cake).
I am the same sort of person online as in real life; but i won't bring real world politics or views on religion into the game, because then its like a forum: and your just arguing

AJ: [Laughs] Good answer. Tulip Farella, thank you very much and good luck in the election!

TF: Thank you.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
